If ever there was an example of a big company or corporation taking advantage of people then this is one of the worst.
[1]Not only is the internet plastered with the dubious practices of this awful company in relation too people getting fined for damage to their vehicles that was already there but they are also playing another different game.
My partner hit the back of one of their cars, the driver got out and apologised for slamming his brakes on halfway around a round-a-bout (after the lights just turned green) His reason- He's not used to driving an automatic car!!
So [2] Europcar rent their cars out to people who cannot drive properly! This person who slammed his brakes on was very apologetic and explained he wasn't used to driving an automatic, so why did Europcar let them have it?
On to the actual fraud- My partner had a little bump into said vehicle and created 2 small scratches with photographic evidence and a witness and possibly CCTV.
My partners car however, has over £1000 repair bill including new child seats, YES, My children were in the car.
So what does Europcar want to do? bearing in mind the hirers have admitted it's their fault, Europcar now want to make a claim against my partner, to the tune of now over £900, she has even had a letter mentioning small claims court and to pay within 14 days.
Her insurer has said she shouldn't of got the letter as it's still a split claim and still ongoing!
So [3] Europcar are trying to fraud insurance companies to the tune of nearly £1000 and may rise, can a vehicle REALLY be out of service due to 2 small scratches when the car was already FULL of scratches before the accident? (photographic proof)
Imagine how many times they try this on, why have they not been taken to court, the company should be shut down, it is not in the economic interest of the UK to let scum like this operate in our country.
What is wrong with you? you disgusting fraudulent pieces of dirt aka Europcar management...
