This is one of many recordings I received both on my cell and my parents house voicemail:
“Hello I'm calling regards to ______ against one _____ that uh if you have ______ or make sure we can lead to the whereabouts of the stuff __ ________ please contact our office at 866-213-4548 again that number is 866-213-4548 or press any key on your Delta so we _____ ____ __ relieve you leave the office thank you…”
Then once I finally gave in and answered and got suckered in to paying what they said was "no less than $100 monthly" I got an email with paperwork stating the original loan was taken out in 2012, well I didn't work at said job then, I quit in 2008. Another RED FLAG. Also I filed bankruptcy about 3 years ago and this debt was never on my credit report, another RED FLAG...I called my bank today and cancelled my debit card and started a fraud disputed claim. Going to fill out the paperwork today. The guy I spoke with said they were called Coastal Financial and when I went to look up the website online he actually told me to "disregard the negative complaints on the site"!!! Another huge RED FLAG...hopefully my bank can get back the $100 they already scammed out of me!!!! The numbers I've been called from are: 1-866-213-4548 and the number I was given to call back is: 866-209-8724 for Coastal Financial ???? SCAM 100%

I am receiving calls to my home looking for a Nitisha Moore Johnson. This person has never lived at this address and this is not her phone number.  I was advised that my phone number would be removed from this account but they continue to call. I am presently at the Claiborne County Sheriff's Dept. filing an official complaint against your company.

    File additional complaints..
Companies that engage in harassing phone calls to collect debt, and are so "incompetent" that they fail to cease when notified, also often collect on fake :"debt".  When they routinely break the law (FDCPA), they don't plan on getting caught.

File complaints for FDCPA violations with FTC, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and your state Attorney General.

They've been calling me for days and asking for me by my married name (now happily divorced) so I took the call and the lady asked me for my social so I stopped her right there.  I told her I wouldn't give her that but I can give something else if she'd like she said if I wasn't willing to cooperate then they'd leave me on the complaint list and hung up.   So now they're calling my family members.  I filed a complaint with the FTC, and my state attorney general but this is getting to be too much.

I just spoke with them and they are trying to collect a debt from a bounced check from 2013 from a bank that I'm no longer with.  I don't know how to even verify this is real.  They called my mom and asked her if she wanted to be involved in a lawsuit against me!  That was the first I heard of it was through her.  I really hope this is fake because I'm not paying it.

Profile fits fraudulent shakedowns.. replies to bzess97
Shakedown scams often have the following profile:
      1)  Make threatening calls about some old "payday loan" or "bounced check" from years ago.
      2)  First call relatives, threatening a "lawsuit" to create panic, and sometimes shakedown the relative.  Illegal third party disclosure in violation of FDCPA.
      3)  Fail to send FDCPA required "g" letter, notifying you of the alleged debt, and of your right to dispute and request proof it's owed.  Denies unsophisticated consumers of knowledge of their rights, violating FDCPA.
      4)  Refuse to provide any proof of the alleged "debt", For a "bounced check", you would expect a legitimate debt collector to be able to send a copy of the check.
      5)  Use threats to coerce payment without proof.
      6)  Alleged "bounced check" or "payday loan" typically doesn't match up to any real "debt", typically wrong timeframe, wrong bank, alleged date may be after account was closed, etc.

    Probable shakedown scam..
The threats of a "lawsuit", through calling your mother, are typical of fraudulent shakedown rackets.
If they won't send documented proof, don't pay them.

I am having the same kind of calls. Asking for a one my first name and last name. I have no clue who this is. I was giving to call backisa same number. I was wondering if I should bother to call back. I dont have loans out there. I filed bankruptcy as well last year this was not on my credit report. I am going file a complaint as well. People are trying to live there lives and be honest. This is terrible.

I am receiving and just received the same kind of call.  They have even called my 92 year old mother and one thing to harass me but now they have gone too far.  I believe it is a scam because I have checked my credit report recently.  Something needs to be done about this.

They kept calling my sister and husband asking for me by my maiden name. I have been married for a year. claiming someone had filed a formal complaint with them on me. I get the number and call them back the girl on the phone tell me that i need to giver her all my information i said if this is real they my name should be good enough for her to find my information. she claimed i had a loan taken out in 2009. so i told her, " anything over 7 years has a statue of limitations here in AZ, also that it doesnt show on my  credit of ever have said loan. She tried bringing up legal limbo, but I study law so like I know the Laws. She called me a C..T. Im sorry but if you are the one calling and scamming people then You are the definition of that word.
