The Red Lobster, on 741 by the Dayton Mall Would NOT make a reservation for our party today, April ,7,2012. We have a group of 16 people showing up for a birthday dinner there at 7:00pm. Now we have to send someone there at 5:30 to hold the space. This is very inconvenant for us , as most of us live 30 to 45 minutes away from there. I'm sure that there are plenty of other business that would bend over backward to have a 16 member party dine at their restaurant. This is a curtiscy for them to have the tables ready, and anything else that has to be done for a group that size. Well, when we get there, there better NOT be ANY WAITING or excuses, because we tried to be helpful and had it thrown back in our faces.. We are not above reporting bad service, or going elsewhere. Somebody will take our money and be grateful.that we chose them, like Red Lobster should be. The negative advertising always goes further than the good does.

    I hope you went somewhere else. If you' re too ignorant to understand the phrase "we do not accept reservations" then I'm sure you're also rude and lacking in manners. These restaurants are run by corporate offices, not the poor underpaid host you unleashed your fury on. Trust me, the people who work there hope you went somewhere else.

    Here is why we don't take reservations. If we are not busy we will set up tables for a large party. We then often get no shows. So we have tied up several tables and servers time expecting a lager party. Other times only half the number show up. I agree with Service Pro above. I hope you went somewhere else.
