I just received a call on my cell phone (the originating call could placed to my business or cell phone as I had my business phone forwarded to my cell at the time) from a man wanting to survey me about Trivent Financial.  I asked him for his name and he would only say "Are you one of the individuals who makes financial decisions in the household?".  I asked him if he works for Trivent or works for a company who does work for Trivent and he said "Sir! Are you one of the individuals who makes financial decisions in the household?".  I told him by law you are required to give me this information I am requesting and he said "I don't have to tell you anything sir.".  Then he said "Goodbye" but as I listened to him hang up he also said "Man, what an ass.".

Is "Trivent Financial" a company you have already done business with, or recently contacted, or was this a "cold-call"?

I do business with them.  But I was very unhappy with their customer service skills.

My own policy is to never do phone surveys, whether I think I know the company or not.  No reason to breach your own security rules, just so some other company might collect marketing information.  If you want to give them a piece of your mind, write them a letter.

Surveys are dead.  Telemarketing is dead.  Killed by scammers, frauds, and other criminals.

By the way they replied and said that they take my complaint very seriously and that the agent was terminated and the remaining agents were instructed on what is proper.
