A "delivery" company called stating that they needed to deliver legal documents to me and that if I didn't give them the information now I would face legal action.  He asked me some questions and I wouldn't answer then until he gave me some information about his company.  He has our phone numbers but other info like the Date of birth was wrong.  When I started to ask more questions He started yelling at me and then hung up.  I will file a complaint and tell everyone I know to be aware and not answer these calls.

I received a vm on my cell phone from a restricted number. She started by saying the message was solely for my husband. She said her name was Amy Atkinson and she is a process server and that paperwork with his name and ssn were on her desk and that on 2-14-18 she would be delivering the court notice to our home and his employer between 3-5. If he was unable to sign for the documents the court case would go on without his presence. She then said if there were any questions to call 443-273-5499 to talk with the filer and gave a file number and that if she is unable to reach him it will be considered a direct refusal. She ended the call by saying she would see him Wednesday unless she heard from the filer. We didn't call and no one showed up at our house or his work. Scam?

I just got the same exact call. They said they were Jerry Wagner. I have never heard of a process server calling ahead of time. They just show up. They don't want to let you know ahead of time then they can't serve you. It has to be a scam! They are calling my husband's number too looking for me. They have the wrong address.

This company also contacted us. It was the same song and dance as everyone else except the day after the call the number listed ended up trying to pull our credit report and the hard inquiry showed up on our alerts (thank goodness for the alerts). If the previous posts weren't enough BEWARE this company. Do not even validate who they are speaking to. We didn't give them any information but just had to block all inquiries on our credit because of this. This goes a step past trying to take money and into the identity theft zone.

Received a call from an unavailable number. A joanne Bryant left a message stating she worked for legal documents and was hired by a law office to serve me a subpoena because supposedly I missed a preliminary hearing that occurred at 8 this morning about a complaint against my social security number. They called my work and my spouse looking for me. Told me to call David Lee at 424-258-0396 and discuss a case number they provided me.they also advised someone would be serving me papers between 11 am and 2pm and I should call to get that specific time of when they will be here. I have called 4 surrounding counties and none of local law enforcement has any information of this preliminary hearing they speak of, or any papers needing served. The circuit clerk advised it is probably a scam and not to worry about it. She advised that first off they do not call you when they want to serve papers, they just show up. She also stated that a subpoena is not the same as a warrant or a summons. So here I sit hoping they are fool enough to show up at my house. This is a scam.

I received a phone call at WORK, saying I had legal documents needing a signature and to call back a certain number. This was on Martin Luther King's day when there is no delivery  so I knew something was wrong. I verified with the post office and they said if there truly was a document that needed my signature, there would be a note or phone call from the list office.

An unknown number called my house asking for my grown niece who lives in another state.   The woman said her name is Avery and she works with Nationwide Document Delivery Services.  I told her my niece does not live here and lives in another state.  She proceeded to tell me this is an urgent matter and they had tried to deliver some legal papers to my niece but were unsuccessful.  She said it was urgent that my niece call them back to arrange for a time to have these papers delivered because she had to sign for them.  I told her I would take the information down.  She gave me a phone number of 877  351-1905 and a ref file number starting with a DA   She said if my niece did not sign for these papers it could result in a failure to appear in court and they could proceed without her knowledge.   Initially this shook me up and I called my niece who has not yet called me back.  The more I thought about it though the more suspicious I got.  I plugged this number in to the computer and also tried to look up this company name to see what phone numbers they use.  The do not really show up as a company if you Google them.   I am certain this is a scam and I am glad I looked so that when my niece calls me back I can tell her to forget about this.  I will say the urgency they talk about makes you feel a little panicky.  It's good to not panic and think about what is actually happening.
