I overdrew my account a few cents, and was charged the standard $30 overdraft fee. I didn't receive any notice from them, and saw my statement only weeks later. I deposited then $50 into my account, and made some purchases unaware about the $30 charged earlier. So,my purchase bounced again and once again I was charged $30 fee. By the end on the month I had $150 in bank changes. I closed my account with them and now I am with a bank that alerts me when I am over the limit.

This happened to me as well, i made an online purchase in the total amount of 30.00 for the 6 DVD's i ordered in a lot. I don't know why this happened but the online company treated the transaction as individual transactions. Since my check had not cleared there was ISF and the bank charged me 30.00 per transaction so now do the math, 1 purchase in the total amount of 30.00 now cost me 180.00 in over draft fees and plus the 30.00 for the order. How is this acceptable, why would the bank continue to allow my account to overdraft instead of declining the transactions and notifying me of the 1st overdraft. The reason is because THIS IS HOW THE RAPE THIER CUSTOMERS AND STEAL THIER MONEY!!!! They want you to overdraft, they encourage low balance accounts to overdraft so they can make money! It's quite disgusting how these banks are not looking out for their customers best interest and their savings. Most people who live pay check t pay check can not afford these outrageous overdraft fees and the losers who run the banks like loan sharks!  When i called the bank and spoke ot the bank manager he was like a programmed robot it's not a bank error, well obviously! But where is the bank held responsible for not contacting someone there is activity on an overdraft account. I can't belive that congress allows this and if there was a forum to express my utter disgust i would be first in line.
