I signed up in April for the personal training after being guaranteed that they would be able to work with my schedule. My boyfriend and I both work and go to school full time so we have very little time available to train. I was training for a 5k race for October and was told they would be  able to get me to that goal. The first trainer we were set up with continuously cancelled us for other clients about an hour before our session. He also would change times on us last minute. We brought this up to the manager and we're given a new trainer. This guy was great until 2 weeks later he quit due to management issues. I called and spoke to the new manager regarding the issues we were having with trainers. The manager first tried to put us with the original trainer again. I told him we refused to work with that trainer due to the previous issues we were having. I was told that one of the trainers would be able to see us. We are only able to go to training on Tuesday and Wednesday after 8pm. The new manager assured me the trainer would be able to accommodate. I signed up for the 8 pm slot that was available on the app. I received a phone call from the trainer the next day being told that he doesn't see clients after 7pm and that if we want to get trained we would need to come in at a different time and date. There were no other trainers available at this time. I contacted the corporate office after this because in order to cancel the personal training I would have to pay $480.00 which is the 50% of remaining sessions. I asked multiple times if there was another option because I didn't feel it was right that I had to pay for sessions when the club wouldn't accommodate our schedules even after we were promised they would be able to. I was told if I wanted to cancel I have to pay the money. They first told me to go back to the club and use the original trainer again. I told them that we had fired that trainer before. Does nobody keep track of that? They continued to tell me to go back to the club and just get a new trainer even though I expressed my distrust of the trainers and club. Then they told me to go to another club which is even further away... Only 6 miles he said. I explained that my boyfriend doesn't get home until about 745pm which would mean getting to the club after 830pm. No trainers would work that late. Overall they refused to just let me out of the contract or give me any other options other than to just deal with it.  We are very outraged at the way we were treated by the corporate office and the club we go to. I will never sign up with them again. The club and it's management are completely incompetent and will lie to your face. I was told twice by different managers that they would be able to accommodate my schedule and both times they failed to hold up their side of the agreement. I asked if we would be able to be trained separately and they said  no. They had to get me to enroll no matter what. All of these promises were given to get you to sign up but once you sign the contract you don't mean a single thing. Unfortunately all corporate cares about is the contract and the money. They don't care about the people they hurt in the process. I do not trust la fitness anymore. I do not trust their management or trainers. I have been an on and off again customer of La fitness for  almost 6 years. To be treated this way by their staff and corporate officers is despicable. I originally was only going to cancel the personal training but have now decided to cancel my membership as well. I no longer wish to be associated with such a business.
