On May 22,2012 between midnite AM and 5 am a small collection of charges were made as if my cell phone called a radio station in "Cocoa, FL" several times.  Verizon fraud and billing dept. claim the record shows my phone made the calls, yet I know this phone did not make the calls. Their record is all they accept and will not adjust the charges. Surely I"m not alone in this type of problem!

Does your cell phone show the called number in its list of recently dialed numbers?
Do other number show up as recently dialed, with earlier dates, to establish that it would show if it had been dialed?
Are there any other questionable calls?
Possible indications your phone identity was cloned and is being used for fraudulent calling?
Is this a smart phone, and could there be trojan apps making the calls?

What is the number of the radio station?

File a billing dispute against Verizon with FCC, Make sure you file it timely (within 60 days of the statement date), to establish that you disputed within the federal dispute period.

They may or may not reverse, but if some similar pattern of fraudulent billing shows up in the next year, at least you will have established that you disputed it timely, providing the legal basis for a refund.
