So as a followup to this Direct Buy warranty, I decided against it due to much of the negative info on the internet and a gut feeling. As per policy, you get a full refund if canceled within 30 days. So I agreed on the 24th of Feb - cancelled on the 3rd of March - again by policy - filling out the form and faxing it to them, and well within the 30 day timeframe. Here it is, the 17th of March and I still have yet to see my deposit of 275.00. I have followed their procedure and have been told things like it will be there in 2 to 3 days, then I was told that their "gateway" was down and they could not process it. Then i was told another 2-3 days....you see the pattern. Today I was told it was processed on the 14th and that I would see it in 3 to 5 days....These people appear to be scamming and it looks as though my instinct was correct. Do not deal with this "company" - you may come to regret it.

As a followup to my previous post, it is now the 29th of March - the excuses continue to build and I have not yet recieved my refund.  To the person who thinks they'll get their full money back for the cost of the contract if they dont make a claim - GOOD LUCK!

This company is a fraud. Everything I read, I see over and over. I am now waiting to get my car fixed, it has been in the shop for about a month. I try to call and wait for ever, when I talk to someone the only answers I get are its under review, we need your records, its denied. I bought a warranty for my mint 2002 caddy. I have asked to talk to a manager but I never get one. I am looking to join or start a class action law suit against Direct Buy Warranty. But I just read that the address they use is a fraud.

W.Cooley I just experienced the same thing. I purchased a 02 DTS from a private seller. I also purchased a warranty from Direct Buy for added protection, JUST IN CASE... Well to my dismay JUST IN CASE occured only after two months, my transmission went bad. The dealership said I needed a new trans. Direct buy denied my claim and their reason was, I didn't have the proper service records... go figure. I owned the vehicle for two months, what service records would I have other than my Jiffy Lube oil change receipt.

Class action please... I definitely would like to have my complaints placed in front of a judge.

My transmission was going on my 03 BMW 330ci and I had to have my timing chain and belts replaced and they covered it at the BMW dealership. All I had to pay was the deductible but now I hear that as part of a promotion they are eliminating that fee too. The only thing I'm upset about is not getting that promotion.
