I bought a new Maytag washer and dryer just over a year ago.The front load high efficiency washer had the main bearing fail. That required a major tear down. It hasn't worked right since but whirlpool "has no policy for adjusting a device they can't fix. So on to the dryer. They have made 5 trips to try to fix the dryer. They have replaced the rollers and even the entire drum. I have to call again today because the dryer sounds like someone is hitting it with a hammer over and over whenever you start the unit. They don't have a clue on how to fix it. Thats 5 days off work waiting for the Maytag repairman. Both washer and dryer are now so noisy that you have to leave the room and close the door to speak to someone. Quality is clearly a thing of the past for Whirlpool and Maytag.

    i  bought     a maytag washer and dryer in dec of 2012 the dryer will not dry anything on heavey dutey half to reset it again before it dryes the repairman said that is how they program it at the factrey  the washer is junk to i put in a half a load of laundry i will not spin dry i try it again same thing i tryed a derfrent seting same thing i spent all day try ing just wasting fabrick soffener  sorry for my spelling i am so pist off with this junk spent a lot of money for krap  what can i do please help

      The LAST Maytag product I will ever purchase!  A couple years ago I purchased multiple Maytag appliances.  I was in the process of gutting and remodeling my place.  I bought the suite of applainces a bit early because they were on sale.  I recently installed the apppliances.  The clothes dryer (model MGDE300VW3) failed within a few months.  I called Maytag for assitance.  They confirmed that the dryer is malfunctioning and requires service.  However, Maytag will not help because the purchase occured more than one year ago.  Unbelievable for such an expensive and supposedly long lasting applaince!  Anyway, if anyone has a solution to the malfunction please let me know.  The dryer stops after few minutes.  The drum light turns on and the timer flashes as if the door is open.  I already cleaned the moisture sensors.
