No light in the railway station

We are the regular user of EMU trains. It is very much useful for the mass transportation, to avoid more trafic jam by road.

Every day evening, I use to come around 7'O clock in the evening from my office to Chrompet railway station. Almost millions of people using the train.
For the past 10 days, when I alight at chrompet there is no light in the railway station. I can not see the pathway, the person standing near by. Many of the ladies, elderly people are find very difficult to walk on the sationand claim the stair case. Also is very unsafe for them like pick pocket, chain snatching, eve teasing can happen in the dark.

I thought the station master will notice and correct it. But no progress in the past ten days.

I request to take necessary action immediately to rectify the problem.

    THIS IS TO BRING TO YOUR NOTICE THAT THERE IS NO PARKING CHARGES DISPLAYED AT THE CHALAKUDY RAILWAY STATION AND THERE FORE THE STAFF OF THE CONTRACTORS TAKE UNDUE CHARGE FROM COMMUTERS. SOME OF THE STAFF ARE NOT EVEN AWARE OF THE ACTUAL FEE TO BE CHARGED FROM THE COMMUTERS FOR PARKING VEHICLES.

    THERE FORE I REQUEST YOU TO TAKE STEPS TO DISPLAY THE PARKING CHARGES CLEARLY WHERE IT COULD BE NOTICED FROM ALL PARKING AREAS AT CHALAKUDY RAILWAY VEHICLE PARKING AREA.

    SUB: ALL DOORS OF AC COMPARTMENTS WERE CLOSED FROM INSIDE

    THIS IS TO BRING TO YOUR NOTICE THAT IN THE TRAIN NO. 12686 CHENNAI EXPRESS ON MAY 29, 2011 WE FOUR PASSENGERS INCLUDING TWO LADIES AND MINOR CHILD COULD NOT ENTER THE AC II TIER COMPARTMENT FROM TIRUR STATION AS ALL THE DOORS OF THE AC COMPARTMENT WERE CLOSED FROM INSIDE. THERE WAS NO COACH ATTENDANT OR TTE HELPING US IN ENTERING THE COMPARTMENT. THE CO-PASSENGERS COULD NOT HELP IN OPENING THE DOORS AS THEY COULD NOT UNDERSTAND OUR PROBLEM THROUGH THE GLASS WINDOW.  WE HAD TO RUSH TO OTHER NEIGHBOURING COMPARTMENTS  WHICH WERE ALSO FOUND CLOSED.  LUCKILY JUST A FEW SECONDS BEFORE THE TRAIN LEAVING THE STATION ONE PASSENGER IN THE NEIGHBOURING COMPARTMENT OPENED THE DOOR FROM INSIDE THROUGH WHICH WE COULD ENTER THE COACH WITH ALL OUR LUGGAGES AND THE CHILD IN OUR HAND.  

    THE TRAIN STOPS AT TIRUR ONLY FOR FIVE MINUTES.  THE COMPARTMENT WAS IN THE FRONT OF THE PLATFORM WHERE THERE WAS NOT SUFFICIENT LIGHTING.  OUR PLIGHT WAS MISERABLE AFTER BOOKING THE TICKETS MUCH EARLIER AND THE TRAIN COACH ATTENDANT KNEW VERY WELL THAT SOME PASSENGERS WOULD ENTER THE COACH FROM TIRUR.  THEREFORE I REQUEST THAT PROPER STEPS MAY BE TAKEN TO AVOID SUCH INCONVENIENCES TO PASSENGERS  IN ENTRAINING THE COMPARTMENT

      I am a railfan and unfortunately happened to see your complaint today only. While I cannot directly get involved in the issue, I would still suggest you to send this complaint to the following officials.

      If you can trace your PNR and give that number, it could be helpful.

       I had managed to get a different issue sorted out through them. IRCTC was not indicating an official halt for train no. 12978 at Tirur, and were refusing to take a booking., eventhough this train had a commercial stop at Tirur. Now they have incorporated the same in their train schedule.  best of luck,  pvh_46

    I was horrified to see the most filthy condition of Chennai Park Station with rubbish thrown all over and entire track from Park Station to Mambalam full of rubbish and garbage dumps. Used coffee and tea cups are thrown all over the platforms near the vending stalls. It presents a very pathetic picture and poses health problems. Will the Divisional Railway Manager Madras Division of Southern Railway, take the Health Inspector and walk along the platform to see for himself the condition. He should then ask a question to himself whether he can he accept it inside his own office or his residental railway quarters he lives in.

    Helpless people still stand in the quee patiently and in an orderly manner among filth and buy the tickets to board the trains. Beautification of Chennai city is a much talked about subject. What is the role of Railways in this? Ver sad state of affairs and it appears cleanliness is the last priority to the railway officials happening right under their nose close to their HQ
