We do not have a horror story to share, yet. We took our truck to the dealership a month ago because of some trouble with the transmission. The dealership called Carchex, and even though they took a week to send someone, the adjuster came and authorized all the repairs. This was a week ago, on Monday.
Today, the dealership called us saying Carchex is cancelling our policy due to our fifth wheel hitch, which was in our truck since it was new.
We had bought the Carchex extended warranty last year, after checking their great reputation.
We called them today, and the lady who answered didn't have the cancellation order, so she said she would call us back later.
After hanging up, I started reading the complaints, and now I'm very nervous.
We had the truck in the shop since 12/27/17, waiting for service, the warranty ended authorizing a complete repair, and a week after those great news, we get this call telling us they want to cancell our deal.
The person we talked to in administration said the policy doesn't cover modifications, but they sold the policy to us with the knowledge of what kind of work our truck does, and the adjuster who came to the dealership authorized everything, so we're just praying there was an error on their decision to cancell our policy.
We are already paying to stay longer at an RV park, and had lost days of work.

We will be waiting for Carchex to help us out, because the adjuster Royal company, is telling us they did not authorize any repair, but the fact is they did, and now they're refusing it because they got the bill from the dealership, who would never start in a warrantied vehicle until the inspector authorized the repair.
