northland group continues to call my phone number on a daily basis at varying times of the day and night,as late as 9 pm est.,looking for someone who doesn't live here. seems that when the have been told that no one by that name lives here, i get sorry won't happen again, until the next day when it happens again.

    File complaints with FTC, your state Attorney General, and the Minnesota Attorney General.

    In addition, send them notice in writing,mailed certified, that they are calling your number in error for someone who does not live there, that you have told them to cease, and that they must cease communications through your phone number (give it).

    If you have further problems, contact a consumer attorney, as it is a violation of FDCPA for a debt collector to contact you further after your notification to cease communications.  You might try www.naca.net for an attorney in your area.
