I went to an American Laser Center to get a "free" consultation. The clinic manager tricked me into signing paperwork.

She said I was signing privacy and medical paperwork regarding the free consultation. She also offered me a free credit check to see if I could afford any of the procedures. I said OK. Instead, she opened up a line of credit in my name.

I never received any treatments, and ALC refuses to refund the money because of their "No Refund" policy.

They have also already sent the debt to a collection agency. So now I am fighting two battles. This whole experience has been so humiliating and I lie awake at night wondering how I will ever escape this fraudulent debt.

I WAS REALLY DISTURBED WHEN I READ YOUR ORDEAL!...IT'S JUST SICKENING WHEN YOU THINK THAT A COMPANY SUCH AS THIS COULD DO SUCH A THING, AND GET AWAY WITH IT!....TOTALLY FRADULENT AND DECEITFULL.  I WONDER HOW PEOPLE LIKE THAT CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT? I KNOW MY HEART WOULD BOTHER ME!...WELL PERHAPS THEIR HEARTLESS!

DONT LOSS SLEEP OVER THIS, YOUR INTENTIONS WERE GOOD AND THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF IT! I WOULD NOT PAY A SINGLE PENNEY!...LET THEM DO WHAT THEY WANT.  LET THEN CALL THE COLLECTOR'S!...I WOULD FIGHT THEM ALL THE WAY!...I'D BASE EVERYTHING ON WHAT THE RECEPTIONIST SAID, BESIDES, SHE HAD AN OBLIGATION TO YOU TO TELL YOU THAT AN OVERLINE OF CREDIT WAS BEING OPENED. SHE DECIEVED YOU! SHE MADE YOU THINK YOU WERE SIGNING PAPERS REGARDING FREE CONSULTATION ETC. WHY DID'NT SHE MENTION THE LINE OF CREDIT?.... OBVIOUSLY SHE WAS HIDING IT FROM YOU....HOPE ALL GOES WELL!....HOW DID THINGS TURN OUT FOR YOU?

Contact your state's attorney general's office. They should be able to help you.
