I purcased a "special offer" from this company in June 2009.  I cancelled the account, but they sent an unsolicited order within 10 days of the original shipment.  I called the company and repeated my cancellation order.
I heard nothing more from them until I recieved a notice of a charge of $79.00 on my credit card that I had not authorized.  The charge is probably for a shipment which I did not order, and was made using secure information without legal authority.

This sort of scam is only supposed to happen to "the other guy".  I truly feel like an idiot, because I walked into this with my eyes wide shut!  It's like the last seconds of a loss at Russian Roulette, when you hear the sound of the pre-explosion of the gunpowder: a MAJOR "what the h..." nano-second!

Immediately contact your bank to dispute the fraudulent charges, and close and block your credit card account due to fraud to prevent future additional fraud.  If your bank needs supporting evidence of their  practices, refer them to the BBB report.

I too got caught in the original gimmick from Seattle Coffee for 2 pounds of coffee plus 2 mugs for $25.00.  I received this offer OK.  Then all of a sudden I get 4 more shipments of coffee which i did not order, returned them per their instructions and was still billed 79.63 on my bank card.  I complained to the company but received no satisfaction.  Last week, I received a new charge of $79.83 against my bank card.  I immediately called the company who confirmed that my account was cancelled.  I have demanded a refund and was told today that it has been processed.  Now, I receive an order of coffee from "Cafe Saporito" who is, by their own admission, the SAME outfit at the same address. I immediately called and informed them that tomorrow I was filing a complaint with the FBI for internet bank fraud and will have my attorney file a lawsuit against them.  I was told of course, to return the coffee I received today.  I think we all need to file a class action lawsuit aginst these crooks and put them out of business.H8A6

I would be happy to join a class action lawsuit.   I have a similar situation going on as people above described.   I don't think I should have to cancel my debit card to stop them.  That is going to cause a lot more issues than it has to.

I too am a victim in this scam of a company. I just noticed a $79 charge for an order that I did not authorize. I closed the account with Seattle Coffee over a year ago after being dissatisfied with the trial offer that cost me $79 which I thought would only be $25. Now, to my surprise there is a new charge. I Cannot get through on the customer service Phone number and am really annoyed with their practices. Something needs to be done.

I tried Seattle Coffee Direct back on June 23, 2009. The deal was a
$2.00 package to try their coffee and was to come with 2 thermal coffee
cups. I though this seemed great. I decided, after reading further,
cancel. I even received an email with a confirmation number stating that
    it had been canceled.

Even after this, I found another charge on my card for $38.95, just 2
days later. I immediately called the company and complained that a trial
isn't a trial unless you can actually experience the product before
deciding you want more. By the end of the call they agreed to refund my
card and directed me to refuse the package coming.

The refund didn't show up on my card so I called them back about 2 weeks
later. At first the rep said they hadn't received the package back, then
a little later said they did. He also told me it would take around 4-6
weeks to get my credit, so I waited. Nothing was ever refunded.

Okay, so to top all of this off, just this past week (11/24/2009, a
$79.00 charge shows up on my Paypal account. Imagine my surprise when I
saw this. The great thing is that I had kept the original cancellation
email and disputed the charge with Paypal. I also had to pay a $34.00
stop payment fee with my bank. It did get reversed by Paypal and I had
to hot card my debit card.

This type of thing should never happen, and I'm amazed that a company
such as this is allowed to continue on stealing people's money.

So, now with the $38.95 charge in June and the cost of a stop payment
    fee of $34.00, I am out $72.95.

I have a similar situation.  how do we start a class-action law suit?
anyone tried to call them recently?  as of a couple of weeks ago, you couldn't talk to a human, you could only leave a message.  as of today, can't even leave a message: voice mail box is full.
I am out $116.85 (three returned coffee shipments of $38.95).

I'll join.  Same story here.  Back in 2009 tried their offer.  Closed my account.  Received a charge on my account last year, never got a refund.  Last week, a $79 charge.  Illegal, fraudulent and deceptive business practices.
