VERIZON IS THE WORST COMPANY OUT THERE! PLEASE READ BELOW:
We never imagined a so called "customer service" company could be so evil and intentionally ruin people's lives! Never in a million years we would think that deciding to change carriers just for the sake of saving money in a monthly basis would turn into the nightmare we are living right now. Verizon violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by sending my fiance's account to collections when he had been actively making payments since March, 2015. My fiance gets a call from ICC System and he was advised about the debt and what was owed at the time, threatening he would be sent to collections UNLESS he made a full payment at the moment of the call. He made the payment under the verbal agreement he would not be reported to the credit bureau. Next thing we know while we start the process to buy a house, Verizon still turned its back around and sent his account to collections for the next 7 years. All of this happened while my fiance had a pre-arranged agreement to pay off monies owed to Verizon, had been making regular payments to the company, immediately gave info to pay account in full to the pre-collection lady who assured him it would not be reported to the credit agencies. Payment has cleared account and my fiance has spent hours on the phone with Verizon as they did indeed report to the agencies. Verizon is refusing to issue a letter of deletion. Verizon states the only way they would do that is if it was Verizon's error. Now, how is this not Verizon's error when they terminated the payment agreement by sending my fiance to collections?
That is not the worst part. We get to find out about the collections issue when my fiance's credit was pulled in order to get him qualified for a home loan. I must add that we are moving to the other side of the country in 3 weeks, with a 2.5 year old and two dogs. We are under a contract with the house we chose and most importantly we are in desperate need of, yet Verizon refuses to provide my fiance with a letter of deletion that is crucial for him to be able to get the loan. The customer service representatives my fiance, our Loan Officer Assistant, Senior Loan Officer and myself have spoken with in the course of one entire week haven't been nothing but rude, and one of them even had the nerve to sarcastically tell us "congratulations" on our new home. Um, excuse me? don't you understand our loan will fall through thanks to Verizon? The last thing we needed was this inconsiderate person's sarcasm.
One thing is making mistakes, a different thing is not being willing to rectify them to avoid a family from having devastating consequences. So here we are 3 weeks from moving and we will be technically homeless all because of an issue that my fiance did not even earn. Thank you Verizon for ruining our chances to purchase a home and for ruining our child's Christmas. We have a special message for DAVID SMALL, Executive Vice President - Wireless Operations (who took the time to leave notes in my fiance's account instructing everyone in the company to not provide him with the letter of deletion): we hope you feel satisfaction every time you get home and see how blessed you are to have the nice house you live in, which you probably earned from taking the same joy from honest, hardworking, and overall good people.
With nothing else to add, you will never get our business back. Our relatives and friends who are aware and disgusted by the unfair treatment we are being victims of will be the next ones to leave. Thank you and have a nice day. #verizonsucks #verizondoesillegalpractices #verizondoesnotdeservetheircustomers, #verisopathetic, #VZW #ellendegeneres, #verizon #betterbusinessbureau
