I was traveling to Istanbul International Airport on December 19th 2011 with 2 other colleagues and supposed to catch a flight to Batumi on that following evening. Without a clue or notice, our connecting flight TK-0392 was cancelled with a false weather excuse informed by your ground staff manager rank a lady about mid 40s. I check from internet and local friend in Batumi, the weather on that day is fine. We were left at the airport looking for help and seems that everyone is trying to avoid us and keep the truth from every unfortunate passengers. Ground crew told us that there won't be a flight to Batumi until 2-3 days and no guarantee that there will be any flight coming in at all. No hotel arrangement for us at airport hotel plus we didn't have legal visa to get out of airport. We were stuck badly. The weather excuse seems to be the only way out for Turkish Airline to get away with this unexpected incident which we would never known what is the real cause of this chaos. Finally, we 3 decided to fly back home, Thailand, and took us almost 3 hours just to reissue a boarding pass for us and along with other passengers. After we landed at Suvannabhumi International Airport, Thailand, on December 20th 2011 morning, we found out that our luggage checked in on December 18th 2011 from Bangkok to Batumi via Istanbul international airport were missing even though the ground staff at Istanbul Airport has issued us the reference tag. We were supposed to attend a very important meeting with our Client in Batumi and all important documents are inside our luggage. Who and how this should be handled. I felt that my consumer rights was robbed and ignored to the worst and believe that someone should seriously do something about this problem and find out where our luggage are. This have to be done instantly before Ph.D. Temel Kotil, CEO, Turkish Airlines will receive a personal note from me and others.
