Professional Cooking Series Dual Fuel 8 burner range KDRP487MSS03

I was so excited when we bought our home to be able to cook with this beautiful hardly used 2 oven - 8 burner stove.
One side of the oven was used twice I think and the other multiple times.  With Thanksgiving coming - I decided to clean the side that was only used once or twice with the self clean mode.  When I assumed it was done - because there was no digital display on that side - I tried to open the door to no avail.  I researched the product only to find this happens all the time!  Very common problem.  They can't repair until Nov. 17 and today is Nov. 4.
 It astounds me that this obvious defect is not acknowledged by the company and taken care of.  It is a simple repair from what I have read - involving changing a fuse and checking the blower (which had been repaired already in 6/15/2010).  My understanding is that it is a faulty blower that makes the oven run too hot in cleaning mode which then shuts down and blows the fuse.  I am so disappointed because I always thought KitchenAid was an amazing quality product.  When we replace this - I'm tempted to go back to the old reliable GE ovens.  Frigidaire also has a problem in self clean mode.
