Fits the pattern of a "trial offer"/phishing scam. Get account number for some trivial purchase, then pile on continuing charges.

The company is google, i actually got a call the other day from them, i guess i clicked something in my email and then they wanted to send me some package, i hung up on them and they called back once, i added them to my reject list and haven't had a problem since. But yes it's google who is calling you and they want you to buy their stay at home and work product for $1.97."
Using Google's tradename to "borrow" the appearance of legitimacy. They are looking for "suckers".

I recieved a call from the above mentioned number, they asked for a person who I personally know and who is also Nigerian, they claimed that they were from Google Free Enterprise and for $1.95 (postal and shpping) they would send you all the information that you need to know to make money with Google. Of course this scam. I was shocked that they asked for the person but this was the second time they screwed up and answered the phone, the last number was different but I called them back from another phone.

62 complaints on complaintsboard.com. Fraudulent and unauthorized charges to credit cards and checking accounts, no way to cancel.
Although in some cases consumers thought they were ordering some CD, only to be hit later with recurring charges, there are also reports of charges with no initial contact and no clue how they got account numbers. Similar to other Las Vegas style scams.

Unauthorized debiting of my checking account

There have been 2 unauthorized debits to my checking account by Growing Rich With Google, one for $1.95 and one for $39.95. I do not understand how they were able to obtain my debit card information, the larger charge was made while I was with my accountant going over taxes. The debit card was in my possession at the time. They also send me to a site in a foreign country with a associate that does not understand me and I had difficulty understanding him/her. My bank required a police report to be filed and hopefully these charges will be reversed. My advice to anyone is to be careful. These businesses can get your information from insecure sites you do use. "
