Charged for services I did not receive nor authorize.
Complaint

This company is a scam. I was called about a 30 day free trial service, but my debit card was billed from a book that I ordered on line.
I did not authorize the membership to Budget Savers or Value Plus. I would like to have both charged credited to my account immediately. When I tried calling to complain I was placed on hold and never had anyone answer. I have repeated this process several times. I will call my bank to dispute charges. Please have this company removed from business.
Thank you.

The Senate Commerce Committee held investigative hearings into these companies last year, and the New York Attorney General is investigating several and their "marketing partners" for consumer fraud. New VISA merchant regulations now prohibit passing your account number to other companies, and require that the on-line pop-up offer boxes require separate entry of account number, so that consumers at least know they are ordering something.
Immediately contact your bank to dispute their unauthorized charges, and block your card number or close your account due to fraud or they will keep taking your money.
If you dispute checking account or credit card charges within 60 days of the statement date of the statement showing the disupted charges, your bank can reverse them under FRB Reg. E or FCBA.
God Speed.
