To the owners and managers of copa Airlines:::::
I just want to ask you a question. Have any of your emplyees of COPA read your own rules? I went to the site to check the weight restrictions for my luggage after a disastrous flight from Sao Paulo, Brasil to Mexico. If you look on your own web page there are no requirements for luggage size or weightbetween the cities of Sao Paulo and Mexico, ( my deistinations obviously) .
Unfortunately this was the first, and probably the last time I will ever use your services. Sadder still, I have to return to Brasil by the same route but hopefully with a little better attention than this last flight.
Wwhat do I mean? Where do I start?
The plane from Sao Paulo was late and the connection time is only 45 minutes. Now I was ASSURED by the hostess in Sao Paulo that we would still make our next leg and that that plane would be waiting just as we had done. It did not happen that way. If she had told me we would have to take a later flight to Mexico City ( arriving after one AM, ARE YOU PEOPLE CRAZY??????) I would have opted to return the next day. Instead I was forced to stay in Panama, spend my own money for meals and fight with everyone there to try to get a second phone call to inform my friends at the Mexico City airort that I would not be coming.
Add to that that I was promised a first class seat on the next day plane (STILL did not happen) and you begin to get the picture.
Well I spent the night in a lovely hotel ( that much was right) and the next day reported for check in. Simple right?
Apparently not! the girl at the counter weighted my luggage and told me I would have to pay an excess weight charge for each bag. Now considering that they had arrived in Panama on your plane and would have been transferred to the conecting flight without weighing it again. And, forget the FACT that it had been weighed in Sao Paulo and you can see why I am writing to you now.
When I asked to see a supervisor, she told me that they would come in at 11 AM, yes, after my flight left. I did not pay for the excess on the bags and told her that I would wait for the supervisor to appear and miss my flight. That would have been fun, wouldn't it?
So I am writing to you now, knowing full well that you dont give a rats [***] about my problems and that this will get answered electronically or by someone in India.
What can I do? Just post this same letter on all web sites with complaints about your airline, unless someone actually does something about it.
Thank you

On December 30 my wife's Copa Airlines flight # 253 Las Vegas to Panama City arrived on time 2:12pm. Earlier in the morning of the same day I ordered a private limo., service to be at the airport 2:12 as the flight was on time and have a sign with her name on the sign. At 2:12 the driver of the limo called me on my cell: telephone and advised me he was at Tocumen and would be waiting for my wife to clear immigration and customs. One hour later the driver was still waiting, because COPA Airlines unloaded the luggage on to a luggage platform where four other flights from Aruba, Toronto, Las Vegas, and some other place were unloading luggage on to the same platform. My wife had to wait one entire hour to find her luggage. I have been in just about every country in the world as a volunteer medical doctor and have never experienced four different airlines unloading luggage on to the same platform. (This is the service that you get for flying business class). The bathrooms at Tocumen are like a sewage, some one needs to clean them).
