Poor service and did not honor the car i rented

Made reservation well in advance to go on vacation with my kids. Got great quote online and decide to go with Carrental.com quotes. When i got to Enterprise desk to rent the car, i was told, i cannot rent a car from them because i have a debit card. My card is actually a hybrid, it had been run as a credit and debit card. i offered to pay in cash, they still refuse service. it was around 10pm and i have no one else to rent a car from since i'm not familiar with the area. Then, they wanted proof of my residence and where i work. I even called my manager and they spoke to him and then they said they needed proof of residence, which (ofcourse i don't have). Needless to say, they ruin my vacation and refuse to do business with carrental.com and Enterprise.
