Charge to upgrade their equipment

I could not get a new channel which I was to receive as part of my package.  I was told there would be a charge of $49.00 for the tech to come out and I refused to pay because it is not my fault that THEIR equipment is outdated and I cannot receive the channel that they are required to give me.  So they said they would waive the fee.  When the tech arrived he said that the dish needed to be moved from the roof to the shed in the back yard in order to get the channel and upgraded and that there would be a charge.  I repeated that I was not going to pay.  He then got on his telephone and made a call.  Because it was late he returned the next day to finish the job.  Then he said that there would be another charge to bury the cable, again I said no way.  I was left with the impression that someone would be out to bury the cable and there would be no charge.  Wrong!! No one came out and when I called about it, I was told that no one was scheduled and that it would be $1.00 per foot for someone to come out and bury the cable.  Needless to say, I told the representative no, that I was not happy with the service, and leave the cable lay on the grass.  For all we pay each month for television and most of the channels run too many paid advertisements, we shouldn't have to pay to upgrade their outdated equipment.
