Maytag Centennial washer

I purchased a Maytag Centennial washing machine a little over a year ago - one week after the year warranty expired I started having problems - called Maytag and was told sorry the warranty is up - we cannot help you - we called a repair man in and had the washer repair for $250.00 - yet again I am having the same problem with the washing machine.  I had my last Kenmore washing machine for 15 years and only called a repair man in one time.  After this experience with my Maytag washer will I never buy a Maytag again.
