Four to Five times today. Rings 2 - 3 times then stops. If I do answer, the call hangs up. Very annoying.

I keep getting these calls too. When my husband told them we had received an email from them and he was researching it to see if it was a ligitamate organization they hung up. They called tonight and when I answered the phone no one would talk but I could here them taking in a foreign middle eastern language and then they hung up. I called back and they answered after me saying hello several times and I asked for a supervisor and the guy told me no one was available and I told them to quit calling. I could here kids in the background. Definately not a ligitamate organization.

I also have been receiving these calls just now 3 times past nine pm. I called back and said not interested please remove me and within two minutes again i received a call. This is so annoying. They said they put me on a do not call list we will see. good luck to the rest of you,.

We are getting the same kind of calls. I called the number on our caller ID and a women ansered. (213)-452-6533 She said i had applied for a government grant on line in which i have never done,she said OK and hung up. Since then they have called about 6 or 7 times. What can we do to stop this nonsense?

I called the number back. After receiving a call, that they hang up right away after you answer. They said they are a company (indian accent) giving away free government money. I asked for their fax # so that I could officially request that they remove my number from their records, he hung up.

Please do something to stop these harassment calls.....anybody. They are a hardship for some of us who have a hard time getting to the phone, and trying to read the caller ID at night. Putting on reading glasses and taking them off goes on all evening, and I stopped answering the phone but you still have to see who's calling for emergency sake. Why are they getting away with this? There should be some action in place with the government to stop or control these people because WE CAN'T!

Been getting these stupid, harrassing calls for a week now. Same as the rest of the complaints; ring a couple of times and hang up, answer the call and they hang up on me or don't answer me when I say "hello", or they try and get me to buy or try something. I even went so far as to tell them to quit calling my number, because I wasn't interested in anything they had to say. I personally am getting sick and tired of the calls and think someone somewhere has the power to so something about it,and they need to get on the ball.

These phone calls began on Friday, July 24, 2009. We had three in less than an hour and two within 5 minutes of each other. No one was ever there.
I probably shouldn't have, but I called this number back on Saturday, July 25, 2009. I told the first person I talked to that we had received 42 calls in three days and I wanted them to stop immediately. That was admittedly an exaggeration, but I am in serious mode and the number I use at home is on the do-not-call list.
She said "OK" and hung up on me. Did not take any information, they probably use the same type of software that Domino's Pizza uses that can ID your number even from a blocked line and pop it up onto their screen...but I was a bit ticked so I called back.
This same girl answered the phone with a simple "yes??" and I asked for a supervisor.This is what happened next: GRI: Big Sigh. shuffle, muffled voices, shuffle, Big Sigh "Hello, can I help you?" ME: I need to speak to a supervisor
GRI: Hello, can I help you?
ME: I need to speak to your supervisor, someone in charge who can actually help me.
GRI: Hello, can I help you?
ME: You have called me 42 times in 3 days and I want it to stop. If you call me again, I will be contacting my attorney and I will be pressing harassment charges for you calling a number on the do-not-call list
GRI: You do not want to have a grant from the government under the president's bail out plan?
(BIG RED FLAG HERE FOLKS....THE BAILOUT IS NOT FOR THE PRIVATE CITIZENS, IT IS FOR THE CORPORATIONS AND CORRUPT GOVT SPENDING OFFICIALS)
ME: What I want is for you to stop calling my number and I want you to understand that we will be following up with our attorney who says you MUST stop calling us when we ask you to.
GRI: Can I have your phone number?
I did give her the number (probably shouldn't have, but I am having good faith that the calls will stop)
GRI: Now I need your name and address
ME: NO you do NOT! You only need the telephone number that you are using to harass me! You do not need my name, you do NOT need my address, you only need to delete my telephone number from your data base
GRI: I need your name to delete you
ME: DO you have a supervisor I can talk to who understands that you only need to delete my number and stop calling me or our attorney will continue with the papers that are ready to be filed against your corporation at telephone number 213-452-6533??
GRI: I have deleted your number.
ME: Thank you very much, have a great day!
(*CLICK*) dial tone, so I hung up.
hopefully this will stop the calls, if not, we may have to actually contact the atty I said we already had!
God forgive me for lying, but I want the calls to stop!
hopefully if you call them and offer to sell them something or if you call them with litigious threats the calls will stop. We'll wait and see!

Constant soliciatation calls for bogus services. After telling them repeatedly the person they are looking for does not live here, they keep calling. I was told I would be put on thier do not call list, but not 30 minutes later I got another call!!!
I tried to register a complaint with the DNC, but got this message :

The phone number 213-452-6533 was registered on July 10, 2009. Companies may call you for up to 31 days after that date. You may file a complaint if a company calls you after August 10, 2009.

I feel the same way. I called this number back 4 times and asked for them to take my number off their list. They said ok yet minutes later, they call again. The last time they called me, I didn't answer; called them back and started screaming then I hung up. It's driving me crazy. Not sure how to stop it. If anyone knows, please post it. Thanks

this number is for grants.I signed up for one on line (curious), then i got a call from 213-452-6533 they did not leave a message so i called it back and when they answer they just say hello there is no formal greeting or anything like that. Not sure how to stop it either.

These a$$holes have called me five times in under 3 hours starting today. On fourth time I pick up and its something about government grants. I told them the person they were asking for is not home and will not be home for 12 hours, but the dumb f**ks called back 40 minutes later. Next time I will answer using a foreign accent "thank you for calling Domino's Pizza, will this be pick up or delivery?"
