When I found out that the coverage I had only paid $50 for 3 x a year (which they still haven't paid any of), I called for a better policy. I was seeking better coverage, but needed a product around the same price ($325 per month). The gun-ho young rep talked me into a great product it seemed that paid 100% for all the tests. So, now I think I have a better insurance and find out that this product ONLY covers the tests. So, 12/15/18, last day of open enrollment, I get a great insurance subsidized due to my income that year. I cancel the Adroit policy and they claim I can have no refund of the rest of the month paid for 3 weeks. Now, today I see on my online banking that they pulled payment again although the rep said that she sees that I called to cancel. She can't refund the rest of the december premium because I was covered til 1/09/19. What??? They canceled on the 15th which in my book goes: No policy, no insurance. She will refund the January 2019 payment though in 7-14 days. This conversation is where I became aware that instead of helping me to better my insurance, I have been rooked into a second policy! The rep that sold me the "tests only" second policy helped me to get connected with a good dental program too. I made clear I had to stay at the low $300s which he said both the dental and the new ins. (tests only 2 policy) would stay in that price range. How in the world did he believe that this meant I wanted two policies, dental and for around the $600 mark????? Very frustrated with this poor product and sales tactics. I need full refund, of $765.60 which includes the premium in Dec. for which I had canceled, and 3 payments for the second policy I was coerced into obtaining.
