Maytage 3000 series washer

I had a magic chef washing machine before this new machine and never had a problem.  I weas pretty sure that Maytag made them so when my wife and I got and up date on our waher we thought we would go with the Maytag 3000 series washer, commercial technology.  We went with this because we thought this was going to be a good washer being commercial, well it is fairly new and it has a F70 / F71 code and will not do anything except beep.  Over the phone I heard that it could be some kind of control board that the part alone would cost 320 dollars.  This is very dissapointing knowing the part and labor to fix this is probably the price of a new washer.  Next time I do not think I will go Maytag, since it is not what it used to be.
