This is a complain about the stylists... from a Great Clips Employee

As for, Great Clips, it is just a generic walk in salon. All they care about is speed. They expect their stylist's to be able to give a quality haircut with speed. If you cant do that as a stylist, then you need more training. I have no problem working at Great Clips. I give great quality men/womens/kids cuts in the time frame that Great Clips recommends. I feel that if a stylist is rushing through a haircut just to get it done quickly then she is the one to blame. She is the one sacrificing the quality of her work. Its not that hard to learn how to be fast and produce a great cut. Why don't you get off your lazy butts and take some extra classes and actually try to be a good stylist.
I prefer working a full service salon that allows me to take 45 min to shampoo, cut, and dry a guest. I prefer doing color services and Keratin treatments. Most people can't afford a full service salon and they certainly don't have time for it. I work two jobs, have a son who has baseball practice, karate tournaments, boy scout trips etc so I totally understand the guests that come into Great Clips. I certainly surprise them when I give them a flawless cut in 15-20 min. Guess who they come back to?! ME :)
Great Clips is still a great salon. People go there to be in and out. As a stylist, you shouldn't be the one making them regret it.
Most of the Guest complaints on here could be simply solved by them being knowledgeable of salon policies. Guests should understand that while they are important to us there are also other guests that expect to be treated the same. If everyone would stop being so selfish and realize that they do not run [***] things would go so much more smoothly. This not only applies at Great Clips, but at any salon... at any restaurant ... etc. STOP BEING SO DAMN RUDE and have a little respect for the people that are serving you! Don't talk down and disrespect your stylist or your server/bartender. Sometime you customers are really rude and you expect us to take the beating when usually you ARE WRONG. So.... basically... stylist need to put in some effort and guest need to learn respect. That is all people! enjoy your day!

1) Expensive shampoos are NOT the same as products such as Pantene (or any regular store brand) that's like saying Coach is the same as Walmart's purses. The quality is obvious! 2) Name brand shampoos such as Paul Mitchell ARE NOT SOLD in stores LEGALLY. Most of the time if you find their product in places other than a salon they ARE DILUTED and usually have been stolen and resold. You can contact Paul Mitchell and other such brands and they will tell you that if you find their products in stores such as CVS, Publix, Walgreen's, Winn Dixie, Dollar Stores, Walmart, etc then you need to report it. Salon products are only sold to and distributed to professionals. Meaning, they are only sold to either a salon (in which you have to be licensed to sell) or to a hair store in which you have to be licensed to buy the product. FYI Sally's beauty supply and stores like Sally's are NOT professional stores that are able to sell professional use only products. Side note: Sally's does sell a few items that you must be licensed to purchase, but they are still not a salon product that a salon would usually use in their salon.
