Don't buy online from Frederick's of Hollywood! Over a year after my purchase, a charge of 69.99 appeared on my credit card for a membership in some sort of entertainment club. I called the phone number next to the charge, which is 888-446-4923. Apparently, they handle billing for something like 80 other stores that do the same thing. I was told I will be credited, but it will take 2 billing cycles! What a scam! READ ALL THE FINE PRINT WHEN YOU SHOP ONLINE. Evidently, it was buried in their disclosures, but I have yet to find it.

I was overcharged for 2 items.  I will be calling my credit card company to get it cleared, but what a headache.  I will not be buying from this company either.

Just found the charge on my Amx. Thanks to all of you I know what going on. I live in California. Everyone needs to write the State Attorney General. This is clear Fraud. Did anyone get any products, clothing, anything for their $79.99? Has anyone taken this to small claims court? I was told  thought this is a small amount, we could get $5000. How scummy these people are! Stealing our hard earned money. At a time when the total economy is BAD, BAD, BAD. If it's not the credit card companies or the banks ripping us off, it these back stabbing money grubbing business. I have 3 jobs now. What else do they want from me? BLOOD?

NEVER buy in the Internet w/o Googling the site with 'complaints.'

Wish I had done that.  These guys didn't deliver two orders.

I agree.  It's a criminal enterprise.  You can tell by the way they talk to you on the phone that they've been trained to be evasive and expect you to be a fool.  They never delivered on two of my orders.  After reading the comments on this site I canceled my cc.  Wish I had Googled first.

Me too! I checked my credit card statement today and had a charge for $79.99 from "Fredricks Glamour".  The phone # on my statement is for membership services. And after making multiple calls to Fredricks ect I found out Membership services makes all the charges. Call membership services and if they don't help you file a complaint to the FTC and the Better Business Bureau.  I did both and then they refunded me my $79.99 but it was too late.  Sucks for them.  They should have cooperated before I had to take actions.

You should call the store and talk to the manager if you have the date and transaction # on you receipt they can look it up. also ask for the corporate number they can fix the issue if you have your receipt. Also know this happens a lot our world is run by computers they do make mistakes.

I think the $79.99 is a charge that all of you signed up for by mistake. When you are checking out it asks if you want a free magazine membership if you say yes i think the magazine charges you a fee. I have never had problems with Fredericks. My favorite store :)

I was not scammed so far but I've got a different issue with them. I ordered an item and it arrived on time but the item did not correspond to their size chart and was too small. I returned it for exchange. They charged a restocking fee and then sent me a WRONG color. When I called them, they told me to send it back. If I do this, the item cost will be much higher than the original one in general. Why should I pay for their mistakes? What can I do about this situation and get what I want without overpaying?

Omg! I have ordered one of their corsets, and I am not receiving my things yet. I'm not sure how many days it has been but I'll check.

I hope I didn't get charge for anything, because meanwhile when I was ordering on the phone, I was talking to this one guy who worked there,
doing my orders online for me, and you know... he was talking about this
one stupid membership thinging, then telling me about it at last in the
end when I finished my order. I told him to cancel right away, and that I only wanted and was interested in ordering the product-CORSets, of course, and not interested in being charge for anything else, and that's what he
did, cancelled it right the time he told me about it(that's what he said).

I'm hoping I didn't get myself into some deep S***, and also after this order here, I will not be buying stuff from them online.

    Sincerely,
    Pachia

when placing an order with FOH on the phone april 14th the representitive pressed very hard to get us to sign up for something called duets several times . I held firm on NO NO NO not interested and they gave up. I just recieved a statment from my bank showing that we were enrolled by a repersentitive of FOH at a cost of 79.99 on april 6th, eight days before i called and placed an order. when i pushed to get the charged dropped on april 27th they said that the 30 trial period has passed they would not reverse the charges. When I argued further they then said that I had enrolled back on March 2nd which never happened. at that point..guilty until proven innocent, i asked for transcripts of the conversation. At that time they became even less helpfull. i was hung up on twice, eventually told they would mail me a form to fill out in which i could complain. I was told there were no higher managment then the first person that picked up the phone and no phone numbers to call anyone of any autority...I called back today to continue the complaint and i was told that the charges were reversed yesterday. I guess the hanging up on me and shifting of stories/run around yesterday was a retaliation against  me for fighting for my consumer right against creditcard fraud, and the white collar criminals that created this scam to begin with. I cant help but wonder how mauch money they make if they pull this on everyone on their customer list. Even if everyone caught this scam just imagine the money being made off of the interest of the millions of dollars that this scam creates. they should be ashamed of themselves.

I had the same thing happen to me.  The customer representative asked if I would be interested in membership.   I said NO Thanks.  Next thing i knew, my card was charged $79.99.

Here are some words from a wise man I once worked for that owns a collection agency; "NEVER ACCEPT VERBAL COMMUNICATION!"  Put everything in writing, either via mail or email.

What a messed up company. I am doing everything you suggested and going to the BBB. I never got a letter giving me a number I could call to complain either. I'm now out $90 too. They will regret running business in this manner and refund ALL of my money, even if I have to drive (on principle) to MN myself.

Wanted to let everyone know that if you try to contact them via the Customer Service page on the website, you will be wasting your time.  The 'Submit' button that you click afer composing your "email" clears the page and does not send the message.  Hows that for a company that doesn't care about what your issue is!
