After 12 days of renting Lancia Musa from Europcar in Venecia, Italy, we returned it on August 16th, on time, with 6/8 of gas in the tank. The car was checked by Europcar representative. According to the representative,  there were no additional charges since we returned the car with more then required amount of gas in the tank. This week we received a bill for the rental and found additional charges applied for: special equiopment(without stating what kind of equipment), refuelling service and fuel charges. Accoring to our rental egreement(number 5017174686), the total cost of rental, including the tax, should be 790.62 EUR. The invoice (number 100902853332) states the amount to be 843.76 EUR. The difference is 52.14EUR. I'm requesting the amount to be credited back to my credit card. I have the coppies of the rental agreement and the bill, and can provide them if necessary.

    Dear friend the "special equipment" should be the "orange Jacket" that existed in the car. That is a mandatory tool by the Italian Law aand should be existed in all cars...in case of accident... the drivers should wear that. SINCE IT IS MANDATORY  BY TTHA LAW I CANT SEE THE REASON FOR CHARGING THAT. .... (!!!!!)

    I DO CONSIDER MYSELF A VICTIM AND I WILL NEVER RENT A CAR FROM EUROPCAR.
    I HAVE CONTACTED:
    - THE BANK HOLDER OF MY VISA AND I HAVE REFUSED THE ILLEGAL CHARGE FROM  
      EUROPCAR.
    - THE EUROPEAN CUSTOMER CENTRE
    - EASYJET BECAUSE THEY ADVERTISE EUROPCAR IN ITS SITE.
