I cancelled this account over a year ago and now I'm getting charges of $79. When you call their "customer service number" it just rings and rings and then hangs up

Any voicemail they have is probably choked on "customers" calling to demand their money back.
Dispute all unauthorized charges immediately through your bank, and close the account to prevent additional fraudulent charges. Your bank can reverse the charges, but only if you notify them immediately.
Include in your bank dispute that the company has a large number of recent complaints of fraudulent charges (see the BBB report on Peel, Inc.), and that they can now no longer be reached.
Dispute the charges as FRAUDULENT (you cancelled your account a year ago), NOT a "billing error". The company no longer has any valid authorization to charge your account, acknowledged receiving your cancellation by ceasing their charges, and is now charging you without any authorization using old retained account information.
Then contact the Illinois Attorney General. There are reports that they are being investigated, due to high levels of similar complaints.
