wow do i feel stupid. this woman called and had lots of information about me already, was kind and seemed legit. I spoke with her about reducing the interest on my credit cards (and she already knew what they were and what the balance was). while she had me on hold, i googled it and found all these complaints and realized what i'd done. i called my bank immediately, cancelled my cards and enrolled in identity protection. boy oh boy. why was i not more skeptical.

You might keep an eye on who's doing unauthorized hard credit checks on your credit report.
These slime-bags will do everything and anything to phish and scam.

I've had a number of these calls, the most recent being yesterday.  Where in the world do these
jerks come from??   I never have outstanding credit card balances as I pay in full every month.
Can't figure out why I'm on their list to "consolidate".
This ranks right up there with the email I got last week telling me I had won 750,000 euros in a loittery
in Switzerland..........all they needed was all my info plus my bank account number to wire the money to.   duh!!
