SUB: 18 EASY STEPS TO LOSING A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.


P.S: I require action here or will be forced to take this to the public space through the media, plus consider other legal options.

I bought a Samsung AS18EFA (Silver) 1.5 ton Air Conditioner from M/S Girias, Brigade Road, Bangalore on 19th April 2009.
And I heavily regret choosing the Samsung brand.

1.    On billing, the manager there promised to deliver the same the next working day (20th April, 2009) and informed me that the Samsung team will be coming over to my residence on Tuesday (21st April, 2009).
2.    My apartment rules do not permit drilling and other installation jobs after 6.00 PM. I had communicated this to them very very clearly and asked them to recheck and confirm, on which they said that the installation crew from Samsung would positively be there on the 21st of April with the bracket for the outdoor unit and that I can be there.
3.    Going by their promise, I had to stay off office work and wait the entire day yesterday for your honourable team of installation soldiers from Team Samsung.
4.    I did not receive any call till 3 PM from either Girias (the dealer) or from anybody at Samsung.
5.    I then called the dealer and the manager (Ram Kumar from Girias) said he would check and call back in 5 mins. Result of waiting: No response for the next 15 mins.
6.    I again called the dealer and he asked me to contact these guys directly and provided me the below number – Installation team manager from Samsung – AYUB, contact number : 9480047106
7.    On calling Ayub, he promised me to send someone by 5 PM.
8.    At 5.30 PM there still was no sign of anybody. Again I called Ayub, and he gave me the technician’s number (Tausif – 9343340535) who would do the installation. (Apparently the technician was informed about the installation at 3PM!!!! While I was waiting the whole day!!! Can “planning and processes” get worse in a company? I shudder to think that its Samsung here!)
9.    After atleast 10 calls, the technician finally landed at my residence at 7.45 PM!!!!!
10.    I got special permission from my apartment security and authorities to get the work done even at that hour (Hoping that this would bring my ordeal to an end!)
11.    The technician Tausif along with his assistant lands up – WITHOUT A BRACKET!!!!! – and says the installation cannot happen today as I have run out of brackets!!!!
12.    The technician walked in without ALL the necessary tools. He inspected and told me that his drill bit would break if he tried to drill on my wall!!! And to think that these two guys were here to fix an AC!!!
13.    Additionally, he then told me that I would have to get someone from outside at a cost of 1000Rs Plus to get a hole drilled. He said he needed to go somewhere far away to get the bracket for the outdoor unit and the shop would be shut and open only next morning (WHY SHOULD I BE WORRYING ABOUT ALL THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE! BEATS ME!)
14.    He promised to call me at 9 AM today morning (22nd April ’09) and tell me a clear time when he would come. He also said he would bring the person to drill the hole along with him
15.    The call, this morning, as expected, NEVER CAME. I called at 10 AM to check what the scene was. (All this while I have an entire team of people waiting for me at my office) Tausif in a very cool manner tells me that the guy has not called…. I will give you his number, you call and speak to him. And so he gave me the drill guys number. (I called him, got him to come over and get the hole done – ALL IN UNDER 3 hours from my first call to the drill guy)
16.    BUT ZERO SIGN OF TAUSIF OR AYUB OR ANYBODY ELSE FROM SAMSUNG!!!!
17.    I CANNOT UNDERSTAND FOR HEAVENS SAKE, WHAT ON EARTH DOES SAMSUNG MEAN BY “INSTALLATION” – its disintegrated my entire peace of mind, put me through endless trouble, unnecessary hardships, wasted my entire time, and sent me on a wild goose chase for two whole days.
18.    FINALLY, THE GUYS LANDED UP. FIXED THE DAMN THING AND LEFT.Let me add here, they did not even have a 3 pin plug to connect the AC wires to the socket. THEY SAID WE HAVE THE PROVIDE THAT!!! Goodness me! They just connected the naked wires directly to the socket and left.


END RESULT: THE AC INDOOR UNIT MAKES A HUGE WHIRRING NOISE (Like a hundred bees in my room). DO YOU THINK I WILL GO TO SAMSUNG FOR A SERVICE CALL??? NO WAYS!! I WOULD RATHER PRESERVE MY MIND IN ONE SINGLE PIECE.

I already have a SAMSUNG 32” LCD TV,  a SAMSUNG SMART OVEN, a SIDE-BY-SIDE Refrigerator from Samsung – but NEVER EVER expected such A PATHETIC experience ever from a company of your stature. So much for trusting a brand!

I NEED ANSWERS FROM SAMSUNG INDIA.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO TO UNDO THE STRESS AND TROUBLE THAT YOUR COMPANY HAS PUT ME THROUGH???

I hope to hear from you soon.  Lest I be forced to take this message further to the larger public space through other mediums and spare many other future Samsung customers of the trouble that I have gone through.

    I BOUGHT ONE POINT FIVE TONNE SPLIT AC FROM SAMSUNG ON 20.4.10 VIDE INVOICE NO 047 FROM "ELECTRONIC BAZAR ,FAIZABAD ROAD LUCKNOW  ,THE APPLIANCE  MODEL IS AC SAMSUNG AS182FBBXXTL AND SERIAL NO. B022P2B2407742. IMMEDIATELY AFTER  INSTALLATION PROBLEM OF WATER LEAKAGE FROM INDOOR UNIT AND SOUND FROM THE WINGS DEVELOPED .VIDE MY COMPLAINT NO 8414635366 ON 23.4.10 TWO PERSONS FROM SAMSUNG CAME BUT COULD NOT RECTIFY THE DEFECT .INSTEAD , WATER LEAKAGE AGGRAVATED AND THEY ALSO DAMAGED SOME PARTS OF THE APPLIANCE.
    KINDLY REPLACE MY AC APPLIANCE WITH THE NEW ONE IMMEDIATELY.

    I purchased two 1.5tons splitSamsung unit from MS Sadana Alambag Lucknow.After installation despite repeated request through dealer,no one from service centre visited even after two months after purchase.there is lot of noise and thermostate is not working properly.Please do the needful immediately.My cell no.9621909004

    I had purchased 2 tone AC two year before but it was not coolinf since April 2010. I had made complain many times to your local service center headed by Mr Pramod Sharma but he did not attend rectify my problem till date. This is computer institute, you can imagine my problem. Your services are very poor. Please look into the matter and please solve my problem today or tommarow otherwise I will have to file a case in Consumer Forum against your company.

    Sir,

    I purchased a Samsung AC one ton unit from QC Engineering Bombay Central somewhere during the month of October and had it installed during December 2011 in one of the wards of the maternity home.
    The unit is under guarantee. However I regret to state that the same has proved inefficient.  I have had to    summon the service on several occasions .  The performance of the unit is still not satisfactory.  Every time a patient is lodged in the ward we have to move the patient due to the inefficiency of the unit
    Please us know if you intend to rectify the unit or else you will leave me with no option but file a legal proceeding in the consumer court.

    Dear Sir,
    I Mr Augustine Gomes have made complaint to your company several time complaint no 4212983075. In spite of complying they did not take any care. Sir I have bought my split A/C on  14 / 03 / 3013 and paid Rs 35700/- MODEL—AR-18FC5UAEB/1.5TON SPLIT AC .                  One gentlemen came from your company came to our residence and told me that there is a leakage in your outside unit which has to be changed. I asked him why is the leakage. He told me because the condenser is made of aluminum instead of copper. I asked him what will be the price to change the condenser, he told me it will cost around Rs 7 to 8 thousand. After buying the AC for Rs 35700 again we will have to pay 7 to 8 thousand it not at fair . We have paid so much money and our new AC is not working is it our fault. Samsung has such a big name in the market of electronics. We have actually bought the AC by the name of Samsung  Now-a days  all AC are copper built. Please change our aluminum condenser into copper. So that it works in a proper condition. Please do not spoil the name of Samsung.
