After many "notices" from "yellowpagesonline.com of "past due" charges for internet yellow pages, I called them and asked for any confirmation or authorization they had to validate their claim. They hung up on me.
Three months later RVNA received a collection letter from ARC Recovery from Ridgeview, NJ. I called to talk to a Mr. Cutler and was placed on hold for an excessive time. I hung up and called back and told them I thought their claims were fraudulent and without warrant. I was told to call back when I was in a better mood.

Could ARC Recovery be the same company as ACA Recovery, also of New Jersey, and also reported to attempt collection of fraudulent "business directory" accounts?

What addresses and phone numbers do they use?

They appear to be a Quebec-based telemarketing operation with numerous complaints of fraudulent invoicing, edited or doctored "recorded authorizations", etc.

Has Your Office Encountered The Online Yellow Pages Scam?
Harassing calls, threats and use of obscene language can pressurize you to the edge and moreover, a collector may embarrass you by contacting your employer or even be pursued to disburse for a debt that is not rightfully yours.

These vultures of the Indian persuasion, have been hounding and threatening me, finally, unfortunately I succumbed to their threats and set up a payment program, the so called mgr named "Ryan", informed me that I had a payday loan from I dont know when, because they refuse to give me any info as to when, what bank it went to, or to who i got it from.  They demanded for me to set up a payment program until the so called "owed balance" was taken care of.  Approximately two weeks later I discovered a fraudulent transaction in the amount of $47.00 on my debit card.  I called the company it came from, and came to find out that it was attached to a email address of ryancruze@gmail.com..the only "Ryan" that i've had any dealings with is the mgr "Ryan", and this computer that was used, was in India!  I immediately cancelled my card, today he tried calling my phone 13 times, i rejected all calls, and my bank is going to recover the $300 they scammed out of me!
