quality

I have been wearing/buying Thom Mccann shoes for as long as I can remember. The last 10 years, I had no longer bought my own shoes, my significant other has always took care of my footware. Yesterday,as I walked the property, my feet got wet. I looked at my shoes and they looked beautiful, well kept,well shined, no broken stitches. Upon further examination, caused by past experiences, I checked out the soles. Sure enough, just like all the other times, the soles across  the ball of my foot had cracked open. THIS time, I angrily asked my significant other, " Where the #%$# have you been buying these cheaply made shoes and why have you stopped buying Thom McCann? Are they overpriced?"  Stunned she stated that she ONLY buys Thom McCann and they are not cheap. ??????????? What happened to my beloved shoe company? Surely you are aware of this defect/problem.Please do not tell me that the reason you do not fix the problem is to increase sales. For now, I only want to speak to you about this, not ANYONE ELSE. Please give me the courtesy of a response.  Tom
