I went thru the drive-in here at Eufaula, al last night around 7pm. Ive never been inside of the building. I've always ordered thru drive-thru for years. I just assumed it was kept clean. As I was ordering the back door opened and 2 employees came out. 1 for a break it looked and the other pushing water out the door. I could see directly in the preparation area and I could see the grease built up on at least 2 feet up walls and floor hell all over. One employee's uniformed was disgusting. It was obvious he or his uniform had not been cleaned in some time. But the biggest thing is the speaker you order from you cant hear them they can't hear you. There was a lot of confusion during order. To make along story short I get up to window I was given the wrong amount of chicken to much. Well no biggie I took it anyway and paid over $40.00 which I'm not complaining to much about the price (It's expensive to operate a business, I do it myself) The biggest problem is the quality of food. You know I don't expect a steak and lobster for $40.00. But, I do expect my food at any price to be edible. The chicken was burnt, the skin was soggy, the oil the chicken was cooked I and my father could tell had not been changed for many moons, the cole slaw literally had decaying lettuce in it I and my father could smell and see it (the oil and water had separated), the mash potatoes were so thin I could almost drink with a straw literally (I am not exaggerating at all), I ordered the corn on the cob I got kernel corn(speaker issue) and it was under cooked and almost hard.
I am not a unreasonable person I understand there are gonna be issues when your producing a product, things happen, mistakes are made, not a big deal. Over the last 5 or 6 years I've noticed a drastic decline in quality of product from this particular store. I've eaten at many other KFC's and completely satisfied. I served in the ARMY and I believe with the right leadership this would not happen. Also, I want to point out the employees were very nice and except for one girl few years back have always done a great job. From what I can tell they seem demoralized. 1 person can destroy the whole team. I don't expect perfection but there is no excuse for what I and I'm sure other experience there. Good leader, Good people, equals Good product. Product isn't Good, but you have Good people, you do the math. In my eyes if there is a Good leader there will be a good product. You find ways to keep your people motivated period. Thanks.
