This is the worst bank I have ever tried to use to get a secured Credit Card. It has been way over a month now and I still have no card from them. When I filled out the application and gave them the deposit, they send me a letter a few weeks saying, we never got your social security number. I've tried calling and no answer at all. So I try again and send them a copy of my social security again and still nothing on a status. No call or communication at all. I am starting to get really annoyed now and I feel they just took my money and ran. This bank is unprofessional and does nothing but screws people over it seems. They are also very slow on getting back to you when they send you mail. I am getting very annoyed with this bank and now if I ever get my card I am nervous to even be using them.

    I encountered the same thing. I have to mail them twice my 2nd ID copy. It took over 2 months for me to get the card. During the card arriving, there even some "security dept" called and emailed me try to get my identity and address. After I forward the suspicious mail to their security department. They closed my account without any notice and explanation. The service sucks and the security is questionable. Go to your local credit union for this service.

    Same experience! HSBCs cheater and liar. It has been so hard to do any thing with the account. the staff's not trained! i am so gonna close the account, though i can assue there will be a big trouble for closing an account in HSBC as records
