Unsolicited product and fraudulent billing

I cancelled my proactive account over a year ago after I found out that a one-time- no membership required order automatically turned into a membership. I cancelled it and was assured that I would no longer be charged or sent product. A year later I receive a shipment of proactive and my credit card was charged. I never ordered or requested this and had cancelled my membership over a year ago that I never asked to be part of in the first place.
When I called to complain and get my money back- I was told that yes- they did in fact show I had cancelled over a year ago, but that for whatever reason, the cancellation didn't go through. I was told I would need to wait 2-6 business days to get my money refunded. I demanded an email stating that my account was completely cancelled, that I would never be charged again, never be sent product again, and my money refunded. They assured me this would happen. I documented this on the order form. I was told I could throw away the product that I never ordered- because they confirmed I never ordered it and would not be billed. I threw it away and waited for the email.
When I got their cancellation email- it confirmed that I had in fact cancelled my "membership" but that I still owed them a balance of $39.90. I called them back and was told they did show record of both times calling to cancel- that my balance was zero. I demanded that they send me a paper letter- not an email- stating that any and all accounts with my name and address are cancelled. My balance is zero, and they will never ship me product again and never bill me or charge my card again.
This company should be sued for fraudulent and criminal business practices. They are a bunch of crooks.
