Woman caller told me she had my printer's manual that she needed to send to me and asked me for the printer model and serial number. Told her that her SCAM would not work with our company and to please remove us from her company's calling list. She began cursing me and calling me every profane name you can think of and hung up when I told her I was going to report her to the BBB. Only thing, they block their number and the only thing that shows up is UNKNOWN CALLER, 800-035.

    Sounds like the opening moves in a "printer supplies"/"copier toner" scam, commonly targetted at small businesses.

    I just received a call here on the westcoast of Canada.  

    A women claiming to be calling from Printer Solutions asked for the serial number from our printer.  When I asked her which printer, she couldn't answer. When confronted about which manufacturer she represents, she couldn't say.  Then, when I declined the offer of an updated printer manual she called me some very nasty names, cursing and hung up.

    Like GLow's experience, the number was "UNKNOWN" and *69 didn't work.

      I too am on the west coast of Canada and my receptionist just told me the exact same thing just happened to us an hour ago but she gave them our printer name and info and said yes to the manual. Anyone know what I should expect next?
