I had heard all the stories about Direct Buy and had seen the infomercials. Then, I found out about a company in Indianapolis called "Direct Plus". Direct Plus is a very similar concept to Direct Buy, but with one GIANT exception:

Direct Plus only charges $75 to join!!!! I ended up joining Direct Plus and I couldn't be happier. I have priced furniture from numerous sources including stores in North Carolina and NOONE beats Direct Plus' prices on furniture!!

When we ended up re-doing our kitchen, we priced the same brand of cabinets that Direct Plus offered at Menard's. The price thru Menard's was just a bit over $9,000.  We ended up ordering the EXACT same cabinets thru Direct Plus for $7900!!! They are definitely the real deal. There's no pressure to join. ( I mean, it's only $75 to join!!) They are professional, they know their stuff and we couldn't be happier. Their website is www.directplusfurniture.com. I would highly recommend people check them out.

For only $75 I'm sure you paid a lot of mark-up on those cabinets. You probably bought about $4500 worth of cabinets for $7900, and paid them $75 for assistance. DirectBuy sells merchandise at cost prices, not discounted, not what some people call wholesale, they buy without any mark-up. If you're not educated on how DirectBuy works you may want to visit a showroom or schedule an appointment on-line. They have plans that range from a free 30 day membership to plans that are less than $50/mo. all the way up to Platinum level concierge shopper services. It's way worth it to check out.

Visited Direct Buy this last weekend after an invitation received after we filled out a form at a Home show.  Received 2 phone calls and information in the mail about 3 or 4 days before our visit.  Direct Buy had been recommended by friends that had bought and turned a house.  We are considering buy or building in the next 6 to 12 months so we decided to go see what it was all about and they offered a free Kendle.  What could we loose we thought.  Well the concept seems great and just what we wanted but at the end they said this was our one and only chance to join.  Come up with the money today or on some kind of plan  or don't come back was the strong message.  Wonder what they are trying to hide.  I just read the mailer for the second time and I guess I don't read very well because I can't find any mention of a onetime offer anywhere like they claim.  If they are dishonest about this and have to use this kind of tactic to strong arm potential clients makes me wonder what else they are trying to hide.

I apologize, it is mentioned in the last sentence of the next to last paragraph on page 12 of a 12 page pamphlet.  I missed it twice but found it on the 3rd reading.  It says "becoming a Direct Buy member requires your choice at the Open House you attend."  That makes it legal but no way to do business if your are really out to be a consumer driven business.
