When you placd an order w/Amerimark catalog the order takers try to sign you up for programs, offering gift cards and coupons sfor gas, all you have to do is try the program for 30 days for a small amount monthly,or sometimes for free, cancel if byou're not satisfied or you cannot use. Receive free gas or ....whatever. In my case I cancelled and that wasn't the problem - I was not charged again. But twice I got sucked into the offer of free gas coupons and store of my choice coupons as I sm really nearly peniless, and in need of so many things.  Now they don't tell you that you have to call to request the FORM to REQUEST the coupons.  Then two months later when it comes in the mail, they aren't clear about what you are to send back.  What subscription # and proof of purchase w/exact amount paid  What product (not program, product) since it is a form letter and since it's been two months and you already cancelled (even though you were told you still were entitle to the rebate/gift cert.)( because it was a gift for TRYING the product) and all the different centers are not linked, subbed out as is usual nowadays nobody has any info on you. Well I called Amerimark customer service(they were helpful as always, no problem with them other than they got me into this mess to begin with) and they will undoubtedly reject the rebate request because if I can remember the day I was talked into signing up, I was calling about an exchange or backorder so the dates won't jive.  Well it will take days to get the receipt from Amerimark (I hope only  ddays) but the real kicker is the Value Plus program says allow 8-10 weeks. as if three people were sitting at desks handdling all these requests manually for he entire country. Nothing should take two or more months now-a-days. Nothing. If I ever hear from them again It will probablly be a rejection, and I will probably (they count on) not remember who they are. oh, but I will.  If I dont get my rebate/cert. you'll hear from me again, in two-three months. Has ANYONE OUT THERE EVER collected on these offers? Let me know. SORRY FOR ALL THE TYPOS In the previous text, I decided to clean it up and resubmit, as is really was difficult to read.  And isn't there enough difficulty out there now-a- days?

They are a "discount membership" charge cramming scam.

The coupons are just to create the appearance you might get something of value, to confuse the regulators.  Few people get any benefit worth anywhere near what they get charged, if they even authorize the charges at all.

Immediately contact your bank to dispute fraudulent charges, and have them close your account or block your card number due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges.  Follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit sent to your bank's dispute address from your statement.

Do not do business with companies that partner with scammers.

Never provide bank account or debit card numbers for payment to any online or retail company.  Use only credit cards for this purpose, as the fraud protections are stronger.

    Protect yourself.
