This company offered a trial package of 5 for $5 to equal $25.00 which could be cancelled anytime. They sent an additional order within a week and now are trying to invoice me $79. I've attempted to cancel via web-site, but there is no access to account to do so. I've also attempted to cancel by phone, but they do not answer and do not respond to messages. What a scam and what a rip-off.

Your post is concerning to me.  I too got set-up on a plan, and want to cancel.  I called this morning, around 7:40a.m. pacific time.  I did get through and told the representative I wanted to cancel.  I was supposed to receive an email immediately confirming the cancellation.  It's now 3:30 p.m., and I have yet to receive that email.  I'll let you know if I hear anything else.  Good luck.

Don't expect to receive any email for a "cancellation", and don't expect the charges to cease just because you think you "cancelled".

Dispute all unauthorized charges with your bank, and close your account due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges in the future.

See BBB report for Peel, Inc.

I responded to the offer also and after one week was billed the $79.00. I called, cancelled my account, received and email confirmation and was told that as soon as they received the coffee back I would get the credit. Coffee sent back on 11/2/09 and subseqwuent telephone calls were unanswered. Finally began investigation through my bank.

Cage Saporito is a scam in every sense of the word.  I'm getting charged $79 for 2 bags of coffee I didn't order, again and again and again.  I've never gotten anyone live when I call and sometimes I get a fast busy signal.  My bank told me that the only way to stop it was to cancel my card.  I don't know what they keep getting away with this!

I feel scammed as well, given the three charges to my account in the last week. (very important to avoid statements that could be considered defamation, regard;ess of how clear the situation may be...)

I had to cancel my checking account to get rid of them, but I do not know if that succeeded or not yet because I just did it last week. They can still send me coffee and bill me by mail. However, I think we should start a class action law suit if they do that. We should probably start one anyway because what coffee is worth 79 dollars? Two bags of 12 oz each? Not even Jamacian blue mountain coffee costs that much and it is the most expensive coffee in the world, other than Seattle Coffee that is!
I have also called several times, never got anyone, left messages, but they do not reply. I also verbvaly canceled and it still kept coming.

In addition, another company, which is probably the same one (because they also never answer thier phone, charge for coffee I sometimes do not get, and have the same exact answer on their machine) is called "Gourmet coffee."
How do they get away with this? Maybe they should start crashing State dinners!
Who is a lawyer that wants this case?

You do not have to wait 1-2 billing cycles to get your refund....that's rubbish and their way of trying to get you to wait until the period of time required for the bank/credit card company to persue this matter has expired.

After two new charges appeared on my account last month I promptly called (it was after hours) both Seattle Coffee and Peel Inc. and threatened action against them through the Illinois AG and the FBI for credit card fraud.  Someone actually tried to contact me twice by phone before I was finally able to call back!

I was told in the nicest way possible that my refunds would be credited to my account in 48-72 hours.  I got my first one the next day and the second one the following day.  They did not even ask about whether or not I received the shipments I was charged for, although those did arrive about a week later.  We have since had the credit/debit card hot-carded so that no other charges can be made through that number by anybody with that information.

Also if you receive any unauthorized shipments you are not required to return them nor to pay for them if billed.

This is my second round with them. Two  years ago, I ended up getting charged over 200.00 before I could get my card changed! This time they stole my card number!!!! According the the package, I just received the first of four orders!!! Now I have to cancel my card again!!!! Which means I can't use it for Christmas!!!

Don't let your guard down! Apparently they stop for a while and then steal your identity and start all over again!!!!!

i've never even heard of them.  How did they get my card # and charge me?  I'm so on a rampage now.  I've scheduled into my daily routine times to call their suppliers and my local congressman...maybe that will help get their greedy mouths out of good peoples pocket books and around some good healthy humility.  In today's society it is those that take advantage of the busy and trustworthy through cowardly scams that weaken american society, not terrorists.

I just had to change my credit card number to get rid of them.  I signed up last year for what seemed to be a good deal.  The exorbitant charges and the frequency of the charges were amazing.  They finally cancelled my account last year.

However, on my current statement there were two charges for 79.00 six days apart.  The CC company told me the only way to keep it from happening again was to change my card number.  What a pain!!!

I too have been scammed.. By both Publicationsmax.com and Cafe Saporito.com  With in just 5 days they had charged my credit card for two $79 charges.
The only way to stop this from re occuring was to cancel my card, file charges with AC / and bank.
They never return calls, nor answer there phones.
Someone needs to put a stop to this type of scam - were is the consumer pretection we deserve?
