Fan stopped operating on high speed about a year after installation.

When it worked it started at high speed and you could reduce speed. It must be required to start at high speed because if I turn it on now starting on medium speed I have to spin the blades. I"m told it is the receiver and not the capacitor. At a cost of $50.00 and change, I hope so.
After reading the reviews I agree. It's a bad product and should be recalled. Hampton Bay and The Home Depot should be ashamed!
