Very frequently, I get these automated phone calls Google (my caller I.D. identifies them coming from out of state phone numbers in different cities in the U.S. ) wanting me to list my business with Google. I press the button on telephone that the automated telephone message tells me to press to stop the phone calls from coming, but every time my husband's caregiver in a nursing home  makes an online purchase from a company that has your name in it (as it is listed on my Discover Credit Card)I get these automated phone calls from Google. One of the company's name on my Discover bill  is "Google*Tim Delivers Google.com/CHCA. The other company that must be connected to Google is QualimedSupply.Com Woodstock GA. Soon after they make these online purchases the automated phone calls from Google to 513-871-5447 start coming. I am elderly and can't keep running to answer the phone. PLEASE STOP THESE UNSOLICITED UNVERIFIED PHONE CALLS.

Both "Google*Tim Delivers Google.com/CHCA and QualimedSupply.Com appear to be legitimate companies that might be used to order medical supplies to care for patients.

"Google Home Business Kit" fits the pattern of common fraudulent telemarketing cramming scams.  Typically, they try to get consumers to disclose their account or card numbers, for a "free trial" for "just shipping and handling", and then start cramming monthly charges of around $80 or more onto consumer accounts until consumers realize it and block them.

Although one of your suppliers has Google in their billing name, that may be because they are using a Google storefront or for billing.  It may be purely coincidence that you are getting robocalls monthly, and ordering supplies monthly.  The medical supply companies may have auto-ordering services for routinely ordered supplies.

There is probably no relationship between the scam calls and the companies you are using.  These scams typically just cold call consumers using "sucker lists".  You should, however, always check your statements for unauthorized charges.

About 2 weeks ago ( mid-late March, 2012 ) I recieved 4-5 automated phone calls........some recorded female &/or male voice: "Please press 1 to update your free Google business listing".......I don't have a f#@kining Google business listing!!!!   The first 3-4 times the call came I slammed the reciever down.   The last call, I remained on the line long enough...that I could talk with a f#%king human if they came on.  I'm on the national DO NOT CALL list to begin with...and on at least 2 of those occassions, I was awakened from my sleep to run to the phone.  On that last occassion, I was told to "press 2" if I did NOT want to be contacted again.    Fine!!!! I pressed 2, and was disconnected.....never able to scream at anyone on the other end.    Now....TODAY....12:25 pm April 4th, 2012...I was again awakened from an afternoon nap ( I work nights & MUST sleep during the f#@Kin' day, alright???!!?   Female voice recording: "Hello...Please press 1 to update your free Google business listing..."  I'm aboutr ready to head over to the nearest f#@king Google office or phone center...or whatever the F32#@@$$$$Inkg hell it is and physically HURT the first mutherf#@ker I encounter!!!!!

File a complaint with the DNC National Registry https://www.donotcall.gov and we can put a stop to this. The more complaints that are made regarding the individuals that are perpetrating this scam the sooner we can stop it.

I have somewhat the same problem only we no longer own a business. I,too, pushed the right # and keep receiving calls. We also are on a No Call List. What is left to do?

We get these calls all the time, several times a week from "Google Business", at our private phone number, which has been on the "do not call" list since we were given the number by the phone company in October 2009.  Granted, it's not just Google Business - also people interested in our business services, people looking for work, creditors, etc., looking for a company that so far as we know has been out of business for at least four years.  We keep asking business websites to remove the listing (threatening them with an FTC complaint sometimes works with stubborn ones it's possible to contact), and we've gotten it off a lot of websites, but it's still out there on plenty where there's no way to reach the webmaster or no reply.  We keep thinking this will eventually stop - but it's been four years....  Pushing the # to no longer receive calls doesn't work for us either.

Google listing- not only have they been calling almost daily but a $50 charge ended up on my credit card. I tried their service once which was un noticeable.
I work from home and have listed all my calls "do not call". They have ignored my requests to remove

Believe me neither my wife or I answer our phone unless we  recognize the number- we have lost this right to privacy - where is googles "do no evil", or do they allow others to do the dirty work for them. I will never use a service or vote for a politician that uses robocalls.
Their number is 5103579511- same on google to do business with cowboys

someone should sue Google for making these unsolicited robo calls to American consumers.
It is a huge waste of productivity for businesses when they have to answer these calls.

Our business gets 2 phone calls almost every day right around the lunch hour and always from different phone numbers asking us to update our google listing. These phone calls need to stop and I have no idea how to do that!!! I've called each number back and asked to be removed. Sometimes they are nice, sometimes they hang up on me. Sometimes I only get an automated, "Press 9 to be removed."  I have no idea who to complain to and do not know how to stop these unwanted calls!

What you are describing is what is happening to me as well.  At one point I pressed 1 to update my listing and a person came on the line and tried to sell me advertising and when I said no he hung up on me, and then the phone rang an hour later with the same call.  I have also tried pressing 2 but it doesn't stop the calls.  It happens at least twice daily and we don't have caller ID at work so I can't identify the number to block it.

My girlfriend works for a company that receives these calls all the time, she's only just mentioned it to me so I googled it and that brought me here.
I used to work for a telecom and we'd frequently get calls for this, unfortunately there's really nothing to do. The calls are obviously fraudulent, but your phone company probably doesn't have any way to filter them. Even if they did, these automated calls frequently come from a bank of randomly selected numbers - and they may have a bank of tens or hundreds of numbers to choose from.
Basically, the best you can do is to keep ignoring them, they probably have a system that checks how long a caller stays on the line for or whether or not they answer the automated prompts. So your best chance is to not pick up or hang up immediately - hopefully they will eventually stop.
You can also try calling your telephone company and asking what they can do about fraudulent calls. Don't mention google, or at least not until the technician understands it's a fraudulent caller pretending to be google. Less skilled phone support technicians will be inclined to blame it on google, to shift blame because they don't know what to do with the call. Just be persistent, maybe technology has changed and there's something to be done - probably not though.

Trust me, hanging up on the recording does no good.  I get no less than 5 of these calls a day, from various numbers, and have for at least a year now.  Some local, some not.  They all want me to update our company's "google listing".  That makes approximately 1,300 times I have just hung up on the robocaller, who is definitely not from "Google".  That doesn't include the one I got already this morning, and we've only been open an hour.
