    It is common for "shopping spree" scams to use the names of well known retail stores, such as Walmart.  Why not Dillards, if that is a common retailer in certain parts of the country?  

    It's all just an excuse to get people to part with their account information allegedly to pay "only $5", or whatever, for a "shipping and handling fee" or a "gift card", which then turns into a charge for $500 or so.  These scammers are basically telephone phishing for account or id information, cloaked in the fraudulent claim that they are selling a "product".
