I went to the new Zellers in Waterdown at the power center to pick up some Christmas lights and a necklace for my granddaughter. I waited for a long time for an associate to come to the jewelry counter. I finally had to go to the customer service desk to ask for help at the jewelry counter. She paged for an associate to go to the jewelry . I still waited for at least another 5-10 minutes and nobody. I was so annoyed I thought they don't realy want to make a sale that bad. So started to look for the Holiday decoration center . It was at the far back corner of the store. There were hardly any lights at all . By this time I was furious. I could not find an associate there either. It is like a ghost town in that store. I need to know why the Christmas things are at the furthest corner of the store. Come on it is Christmas season. Put the Christmas at the front of the store where customers can have easy axcess to the Christmas decorations I do believe you would sell far more Christmas poducts if they were front and centre. On my way out I walked by three associates in the isle arguing. How bad is that for the customer to witness It is obvious customers do not mean anything to the associates that work at Zellers. I was so disgusted I walked out of the store and did not spend a cent because of lack of customer service . I did go out of my way from Burlington to go to this ghost town of a Zellers It was a very unproductive shopping experience and very frustrating.I will never shop there again. If that store does not close down because of disregard for their customers I will be surprised. I hope to hear from you regarding this complaint.  A very dissatisfied shopper.  Regards Janet Mutch

I so agree, I just had the worst service ever at zellers in Sudbury Ont, Canada at the four corners, I was trying to exchange a DS system I had purchased as a Christmas present for my 5 yr old son, Every other store in the world excepts exchanges 30 days after Christmas but because my receipt was a week over due they denied me the exchange and denied me the right to speak to a manager. Quoting there exacted words when asking for a manager "No sir that is store policy and thats final". so furious I drive 20 minutes across town to the other Zellers in town walk up to the counter outraged, and they told me SURE WE"LL EXCHANGE IT FOR YOU NO PROBLEM, I can not believe how disorganized Zellers can be. GO WALMART GO

I went to the Zellers in Oshawa at the mall and I couldn't believe HOW rude the jewellery associate was. She completely ignored me after I had been waiting for 10 mins to see a watch and had to be asked by a supervisor to help me and then by a fellow customer, who saw I had been there before she was. It was rediculous and the kicker- I'm an associate at another Zellers in Oshawa. It amazes me everytime I walk into that Zellers.

    Very Disappointed
I usually like shopping at Zellers. (alliston branch) Most associates are friendly and willing to help. These days the associates are far and few. I witnessed a horrible thing. A young supervisor from fashion was yelling and swearing at an older employee in the jewellery section. She swore a blue streak that  would have  made a longshoreman blush. I can see now why Barrie's store has a union. This woman started to cry and it just broke my heart. I don't need to see that when I am shopping.

    Customer Disservice
We just had a problem with a dog bed we had bought as a Christmas gift. On Christmas day it was opened and put down for the dog but when she got in it was clearly too small for her. We immediately picked it up, shook it off and put it in a bag. Two days later we tried to return it (we couldn't exchange as there wasn't one any larger). They wouldn't return it because: 1- We had it for so long (we bought it Dec. 15th as a Christmas present and this is still well within the return time). 2- It had two small marks on the bottom side that they claimed were food stains (how does one get food on the bottom of a bed? These marks were no doubt there when we bought the bed). 3- It had some dog hair on it (it is a dog bed, she had to get in it in order for us to realize it was too small). The lady was getting more rude and aggressive as we went through each of these. By the time we got to the dog hair she was virtually yelling at us about how she could be allergic to dog hair and could die. We left. At Petsmart when we bought a bed that would fit her they informed us of their return policy adding <quote>"in case she chews on it or anything"<end quote>. Needless to say our shadows will never darken any HBC affiliate again.
