I joined the Ladies Workout Express in Asheville NC because it was beside my work at the time. I figured i would go before and after work. Well it wasn't a month later and the facility changed there hours, leaving me with no choice to only go on my 30 min lunch break (How in-convenient.)

Well just a few weeks later i found out i was pregnant and was going to be changing jobs. Now mind you I was already driving 45minutes to get to work/ladies express. Then I moved 30 minutes past my house, making it an 1 hour and a half trip. So I called and told them my situation, the lady actually argued with me telling me there was a facility only 6 miles from me. She somehow had my address misslocated. Oh yeah, and my first months payment was taken out of bank account in an amount over what i had agreed and i bounced checks and so on... I just want them to leave me the hell alone. I wish someone would realize how bad of a company they are and shut them down!

I just received a flyer in the mail stating that members from the Freehold Workout Express could transfer to Matawan because Freehold was closing.
When the workers inh Freehold  were questioned , they told us, they were told by the owners they were not closinfg.
I called the fiance company and was told that the members were being transferred to other clubs.
When I said I did not want to be transferred I was told I had no choice.
I have been reading complaints on the iternet about this business . I was wondering if a lawyer will representive us in class action suit.
In addition if everyone contacts 7  on your side in New York in NY  they most likely will do a story about this business.
This is not the first  time I have beeb upset about this club.
However if it is closing the way it is being done shows you how little the company has for its clients

Even if you canel your bank account it WILL go on your credit report.File a complaint with ripoffreport.com also and send them a fax telling them you have done it.Im in the same battle right now. They tricked me into signing a 3 year contract. Now I am stuck with a 1600$ bill on my credit report.

I am a former manager of one of these clubs. It really irks me that people get angry at the club when you made the committment.  We didnt come into your home and force you to join.  We do not trick anyone into signing anything. You just hear what you want to hear and would rather sit on your out of shape butt rather than coming and working out like you committed to doing.  Canceling the auto draft with your bank is a HUGE mistake.  You signed a binding leagal document.

No, when a club closes they cannot force/transfer your membership.  The club owners are just trying to squeeze some extra money.  Cakll the corporate offices in Ft. Laudeerdale FL ( Lady of America franchise corp) and ask for Ed Duffy.

I have had a lot of problems with my membership@Ladies Workout Express First a lady filled out the application for me while she was "explaining me" the benefits of getting my membership, of course I signed the contract and I aknowledge and assume the responsibility of not having read the contract before signing, so I kept paying for 3 years.  When I tried to get my contract cancelled, the ladies on the phone were really rude, so anyways, as I said, I just ended my 3 year contract in September and "OH SURPRISE!" I am still "stuck" to them, they keep your contract month by month they said, and to cancel you need to send a letter and from the date they receive the letter your petition will take effect 30 days later, so you have another month to pay to them.  "EASY MONEY" people.  I am so dissapointed and disgusted of having a "deal" with these kind of people, that I cannot wait and look forward to see the end of it, and NEVER, NEVER EVER deal with them again.

Strange, I wonder if Erin and I went to the same gym in Asheville? When I went in with my sister to sign up, I was told I could save some money by signing a three year contract, and that it was super easy to cancel, just tell the billing co. that I had moved. OK, so I'm naive, but I believed her. When I called the billing co a year later to cancel, I was told I had to provide a copy of my DRIVERS LICENSE for the state I was moving to and other documents to cancel the membership. Seriously, if they only way these people can stay in business is by deception and hassle, maybe they should reconsider their service and policies.
