Please read and support small business

As an Appliance Repairman for over 10 years, I hear constant complaints about GE and A&E. We charge $120 to diagnose and repair for most jobs. If it is freon related yoummay be looking at a few hundred more. If we have to order a part and return, we charge an extra $10-15 for shipping and around $30 more for "labor". Remember that in small business that $120 gets split up between the secretary, book keeper, owner, technician, fuel, insurance, vehicle upkeep. Then amusing thing is, that the customer complaining are living in a multimillion dollar home(which is fine, hopefully they employee alot of U.S. workers ) and whining about the $120 service call. What I'm getting at is, stick,with the local family owned company that will respond in a day or so and have somebody you can hold accountable. In Connecticut $32-40k isn't much of a salary so tips greatly appreciated.

I can't speak for everyone,but when I became a Vol. Firefighter, served in the Military  and now fix what's broken, I do it all because I love it.
