i have had the unfair advantage of being hassled by this particuliar group..... with calls in 2007 and then in 2009.... both times a foriegn sounding man threatens to call the cops, and says he is sending them to my house..... although the money has been paid, and i have reciepts of said transactions, the man "will smith" claims he wants proof and wants me to fax them to him, but when i asked for him to send me something in writing stating the case number for the federal injunction against myself and his company, he told me that he does not have to provide any information.... i then tried calling him back at the number provided to me, and he kept hanging up on me, which i find rude and bad for business..... my debt has been paid, and i think someone should do something about this matter..... these crooks should no longer be in business

They appear to be debt collectors allegedly collecting payday loans, located in Jacksonville FL.

There are many reports of calls making illegal threats, claiming to be police officers or prosecutors, claiming to have sued or have a "federal injunction" [sic], claiming to have arrest warrants, etc.  All bogus, all illegal.

The names they use also appear to be bogus, they generally refuse to validate or provide any information on the alleged debts they claim to be collecting on, and there are other reports that they are attempting to collect on debts that have already been paid.

There have been several debt collectors located in the Jacksonville FL area known to have employed these tactics, and some of them have been shut down by the Florida Attorney General.

    Contact the Florida Attorney General.

If they claim to be law enforcement or connected with district attorneys or prsecutors, or threaten to arrest you, contact your local police and your state Attorney General.  Such threats and claims are false and illegal, and may be criminal violations of state law on top of FDCPA violations.

And since they are threatening illegal actions that might result in physical harm to you (false arrest, impersonating a law enforcement officer, threatening to send armed police to your door based on false allegations, etc.) record their calls as evidence.
