False collection on non-existant bill; high pressure tactics; no service offered for money

The collector, Maria Sanchez, from the collection department, called to tell me about the bill I owed for.  She played a recording of a a previous staff person agreeing to pay the bill.  They did not play for me the many times she argued that the bill was false - the pressure to pay with out doubling the bill was intense. She followed up with a fax of the bill and past due amounts.

ADVICE:  when they call hangup - don't get caught arguing with them on tape!

I reported the collection call to the Florida BBB and will follow up with them and will figure out how to report them to FTC as well.

They are running a well-known scam, faking and doctoring their recordings to extort money.

    Ignore their threats.
Anyone can make threats from the safety of the other end of a phone line.
They are a bunch of liars and fakes.

If the Local US Pages you are complaining about is in St Petersburg, FL you can report them to the Pinellas County where they are located.  The BBB is a mediator & won't prosecute.   Go to www.pinellascounty.org/consumer     fill out the complaint on line & they will mail you a form to fill out.  You can either mail or fax it back.  They also send one to Local US Pages.   They now have 4 complaints against them, 2 resolved.  One still pending which is mine.   I did also contact the BBB but the case was closed & unresolved.    I don't know if this will put them out of business or they will just move some place else but I have not heard from them since May, 2012 when I filed the complaint.
